My autominer assigned to the PHQ started heading for the sector edge and kept going for a long time. I was watching the map as this happened and it looked like the sector map was zooming out in order to keep the whole sector visible inside the hexagonal border. This is the end result (notice the misaligned highway and jumpgate lines, those stayed in place): https://i.imgur.com/hOduGnj.jpg
It also seems that my miner wasn't alone in her witty endeavor to avoid the single jumpgate that leads to the hydrogen rich Path to Profit.
Is the normal?

Could your miner be really high or low on the Z axis as opposed to far away on the X or Y axes? While he may not be far away in a two-dimensional area, he may be 1000+km away in a 3-dimensional area. I had this happen to me going afk with travel mode on. I would bounce off the sector boundary, but sent me up a rather obscene amount that I save scummed to avoid waiting to travel back.
