Re: [#1106][6.0] Bad Pathing at Sanctuary of Darkness Portal
In my game I've noticed that ships traveling through a Jump Gate sometimes end up around 40km off in some random direction from the other side, possibly leading them to ignore the safe path through the system, or even putting them straight inside the hazard zone. I'm not sure if this is the root cause of the issue though, as while testing this I also saw my Sturgeon transit normally but still opt to fly straight through the system.

I've been spending hour upon tedious hour babysitting every L transport that passes through the sector, trying to manually map out routes via nav beacon to limited success.
The manually mapped route mostly works, but slows things down excessively since they drop out of travel drive at every waypoint. Then there's also a chance at each waypoint that they'll jet off into la la land again and force the entire process to restart.
There also seem to be some specific problem spots for the pathing. Where the minerals make their turn in the northwest for example, I tried and tried to get a ship with hazard protection to drop a nav beacon but it would always fly off and place it entirely off course instead.

6.00 Hotfix 2 has just been released, which should improve the situation here. Please try it out and let us know how you get on.

Testing things out now. Once I cleaned up the various waypoint orders I'd implemented things began clearing up nicely. Going to keep an eye on it for a bit, but it's looking good right now.

There were multiple fixes that affect this, not just the lightning one. Please try it and give your feedback.

Several hours of playtime later, I feel comfortable saying I don't have to babysit the zone anymore. Lost an occasional M class ship that was escorting an L class miner or transport, but I'm calling it pilot error as they were on course with the rest of that L class shipping lane and not venturing into the great unknown.Withidread wrote: ↑Thu, 27.
