There was no update.Third-party stuff does third party things and doesn't name it properly.

Steam often downloads updates for X4 in the form of cached shaders. This is technically a steam feature/update as the X4 build does not change in the process.

Steam might also perform some sort of housekeeping on installed applications from time to time.
