Has anyone else had this problem?
I accepted a mission to destroy a Xenon station in Tharka's Crusade XV. I reached the station after battling my way through a host of Xenon fighters and a couple of Ks (in my Asgard) I reached the station and eventually got it down to 0% shields and
0% hull but the mission wouldn't end. I blasted away at it for ages, but nothing happened. I then noticed what looked like building in progress at one side of the station, so I started shooting at that. As I fired at it, it resolved into a new module then exploded. This happened about four times, each time I destroyed a new module another appeared somewhere else on the station. I eventually gave up and limped home.

Yes, for some reason, I believe perhaps depending upon the order in which you attack and destroy modules, destroyed modules can regenerate quickly and unseen while you are working elsewhere at the station. I found Xenon asteroid outposts to be the most frustrating.
Something that helps is to empty the Xenon build storages first and to kill any arriving Xenon supply ships before they can unload at the build storage.
There is a tactical method that helps, and a workaround. If IS then set some of your longer-range turrets to be able to attack the station if/when you can't see anything else to attack. The turrets will open fire on anything that you can currently redestroy. Keep moving around the station in turret range so covering lines-of-sight to all the modules, attack the fired-on modules, and the station will eventually die. The workaround is to teleport OOS or out of high attention of the station for a while and set your ship to attack the near-dead station remotely - it will soon finish the station off and then you can teleport back to your ship.

Sometimes turets dont want shoot at xenon solar panels and shipyard build cage module , so just in case try shoot at position where solar panels or ship building module was , if main guns hiting something its mean its been rebuilded , shoot shoot shoot it will die eventually. Btw. If module has been rebuilded its shows 0 % but there is some amount of hitpoints so keep shooting .

Hi,
Another possiblity is - when the station already looks completly destroyed and no hostile turrets are active anymore, you could also try to use some s/m fighters attacking the station - they normally are finding the areas, which are still alive.
It's always good to have a few small fighters in the hangar
Best regards
