Sorry, but I don't understand your report. Please provide a screenshot or something, or even a savegame, so that we can see what you mean.

AFAIK this is typical - for the HQ. Happened to me too.solarie99 wrote: ↑Thu, 17. Mar 22, 18:54 Here is a video link i filmed it better than screens![]()

The problem is, that the 3-pier does not fit, because it wants an area (represented by the boxes along the 3 pier parts) free for ships to align with the pier. The pier fits fine, but there usually are asteroids around the HQ, which makes the pier nearly impossible. Should you try an 1-pier, it works much better, but it can be that you need to lift it up or down along the HQ using vertical connectors.
The best way to find this is to position the 3-pier, turn it so, that it would fit, and then before connecting it moving it up and down, the boxes change color, as soon as the pier has enough space.
This is not a problem with building space, there is ample space around your HQ, the boxes go out a way beyond that to ensure ships can dock. This is not 'part of the pier' but just needed free space.

Re: No pier found Error
I can try and do this and get the 1 pier and fiddle around. but the grayed out button is there always ? after i buildt the sirst storages and the solar panels after that it is grayed out and wont shift back so i can build more. it still will not let me confirm module change this is what is the problem that it is greyed out and wont change back so i cn apply new modules for building.Good Wizard wrote: ↑Thu, 17. Re: No pier found Error
I think i found what causses the bug, i started a reserch teleport range 2 that also need Nvidium, i didnt have a solid storage on the station and that cause the build behavor to be like it is with no posible way to build as you see in the video.
so i cant add the solid storeage to get Nvidium to compleat the reaserch and is now stuck in all missions forward in main 5.0 plot.
I tried just to see to cheat and use compleat reserch, and that fixed the problem. after that i can build more to the station and all is fine.
"but i dont want to cheat, but that is what causes the bug."

Re: No pier found Error
I am in no way an expert for this - but starting research with missing container should have no influence on the building process. If you have no container for the material, it is missing and remains missing, and the research process won't start.
If I remember correctly you should also be able to stop the research (in the research interface). Just open the box and there should be a button to stop it.
I looked at your video again, and there is indeed something wrong: At second 14 you put the first module (Liquid Storage) to the station - and the button should be activated at this point. Theoretically you can use it after the first container, and start the entire build process. Nothing stops you during the build process (including have a Builder assigned and started to order materials) to again add modules, this will work. You have to adjust the new cost value and will wait again while the materials are ordered, but it should work.
So you should look why the first module does not fit somehow. The 3-dock pier is not the reason obviously. The button must become active after adding one module correctly. Maybe something is strange with the first module you added? Despite the fact that it is green in the list...
Or you triggered a strange bug. But I built several stations for the Argons with 5.0 (including DLC) and this worked normally. But if you cannot add modules at the point where you started the build process (in the video) you should maybe add a save, so that someone can look into the problem.
EDIT: The message 'there is no pier' (visible in your video) is normal as long as you do not have a pier dock. It influences the speed L ships can deliver to you because they need their cargo drones, but it should not do anything to the build process.
EDIT Friday, March 18th: I just read on the German forums, that this could be a game bug, introduced with Hotfix 2. So I recommend to post on the Tech Support Forum to ask about it. There seems to be a work around: If you buy any module from a faction rep, just buy a module named ''unknown module or similar and another cheap module. (You cannot buy the 'unknown module' alone). This should fix the greyed out button. But do post on Tech Support.

Re: No pier found Error
Try this solution, which is described here, and please provide a save file with this problem, on the German Forum they ask for it too, since people there are having the same problem. I use an older save from 4.1 or so, and do not have the problem. Maybe it is only seen with a new start?solarie99 wrote: ↑Fri, 18. Mar 22, 17:19 <..>
