Video: The not so glamorous side of being a carrier commander
Hello everybody:
Just like the title says: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwIjqwnBAko&t=124s
And please, please, if possible, I want to hear more about automatic resupply, auxiliary ships and such

If you right click your carrier, and choose "Get supplies", that gets the carrier to collect resources to do repairs.
Then in Information, Individual Instructions, find Automatic Resupply and set it to High.
Any fighters thereafter returning to the carrier with damage should be auto repaired.
Just periodically check on the resources the carrier has and replensish as necessary.

1. I already showed at the begining of the clip that my Automatic Resupply is set to High. Then I showed that fighters will not rearm automatically.alt3rn1ty wrote: ↑Fri, 14. 2. In the clip is showed that the "supplies" that run off were computronic substrate. So my Raptor will fly, let's say from Fire of Defeat to get computronic substrate from Getsu Fune? Great, can't w8 And even is such epic journey would be possible, the entire cargo capacity of the Raptor would be suficient to rearm a hoping...w8 for it...3 Chimeras, that were not even "empty" of torpedoes. Yay
Now, I will try to see if "Information, Individual Instructions, find Automatic Resupply and set it to High" will do something, but point 2 still stands.

Ah, right, you are using some Terran weapons maybe on the fighters?
(Sorry I didn't watch the whole video, detail is too small for my eyesight)
Having to get Terran resources for repairs would be a pain.
My raptors dont need any Terran resources https://i.imgur.com/COgd219.png

Re: Video: The not so glamorous side of being a carrier commander
No, I'm a terran that likes to use torpedoes and the game hates me for it
I have check the settings on the carrier...use global setting-->high. There is a report, actually several, on the tech forum of the issue, if prefered building method is terran = no automatic rearming for ships, but even if that is resolved, I'm still left with the entire cargo of the Raptor being enough the rearm just 3 fighters
Re: Video: The not so glamorous side of being a carrier commander
Hmm, interesting I wonder if you could do an experiment, take same Chimeras, put torpedo launcher in one of the weapons slots, now each Chimera will require 21 heavy torpedoes. I'm curious if commonwealth mats will permit the Raptor to rearm more ships that my 3 fightersalt3rn1ty wrote: ↑Fri, 14. Edit: I wonder if I could set another build method just for the carrier
Re: Video: The not so glamorous side of being a carrier commander
Sorry I haven't got time I am on shift work for a few weeks.
I do have Chimeras' (40 each on the Raptors), but they all have Split Tau Accelerators.

Re: Video: The not so glamorous side of being a carrier commander
Don't worry about it There must be other torpedoes on fighters using, with universal prefered bulding method, good folk out there
