There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Paranid bridge designs, they are of high quality.
Untill Terran bridges appeared, Paranid ones were my favorite.
They don't need bridge replacement, but some more details and beautification is always welcome.

How about the colours?
Won't the new Paranid ships look a little bit out of place when compared to Paranid stations and other Paranid ships that are mostly purple and have old models?

All Capital Bridges are too Big.
It takes ages for the Pilot to get to the Helm if you hand off the controls.

The New Models use the same base material as the previous and remaining Ships.
By virtue of an overall larger model, you get the impression to have less of the primary Color.

Bridges are fine, but we need more interiors to ships! Give us wardroom! Give us captain office and bedroom! Give us passage with illuminators!
Make capital ships more immersive, more alive!

Bridges need to be redesigned to math the aspect of the external bridge section of the ship (or redesign the model of the ship to math the bridge view design). Actually, we have a design in the bridge view and a different design in the ship model.
In other words, the windows of the bridge view not math with the windows in the ship model.

I would like all the cap ship bridges to have a combat mode - as soon as the ship enters combat, lights will go down and be replaced by some dim red spotlights.

The new models absolutely knock it out of the park.
Didn't think it was possible to fit an M-dock on an L-ship but you've actually pulled it off!

The old Odysseus already has an M-dock.

Indeed, I mean it fits into the overall ship much better than in the old model IMO

I personally would prefer to see the X3 Xenon capital ship designs return, rather than the gigantic pill bug designs we have had since Rebirth.
I think the xenon ships from X3 where more terrifyingly 'dead' flying computers, i liked that design better. I think the story around Xenon now is that they are gaining sentience and that is the reason for the change in design.

We did redo all paranid capital ships to make them match the quality of the ships released in the dlcs.
There is no new paranid battleship.
As far as i know:
The new ships will replace the old ones in new gamestarts.
In existing games the old ones will stay (for the player). The NPC factions will build/buy the new ones and slowly fade out the old designs that way.
Perfection!

Well, with all the massive hair on the latest Terran npcs I'm not sure what they're going to be using to dry it anymore.
The Ody is the ugliest ship with the most amazing capability. I hope the arrangement of turrets doesn't change too much. I mean, with a single Ody you can beat a Xenon I and two Ks solo. It was the most capable destroyer in the game until the Terran came along. (Yes, I love me some rattlesnek but those glass cannons are a lot more maneuvering, with the Ody I can sit on my bridge in my smoking jacket sipping cognac while popping the I's out of the Xenon).

Looking at available screenshots it seem that general count and turret placement is the same - only the minor moves on medium turrets due to slight change of ship geometry (a bit longer than the old hairdryer).

Lino said that he tried to keep the surface elements the same, there may be some minor differences.

I think a player will be able to get the blueprints.
I personally think, that the old ships should not be used anymore, they are really out of date and players do spot that. It makes the game look worse, if we keep em.
EDIT: yep, again: All paranid capital ships got a redesign.
But
please leave the old ones in form of the blueprints just as a collectors curiosity
I really like to collect ships and the old ones can become a nice "legacy" collection in the later stage of the game

Lino described it in way that this should be possibile.
The old ships are not replaced and not removed. They just are not build anymore and you cant buy them.
Old the existing ships will remain. I'm not sure about teh blueprints. I Think they can (technically) be removed.
I just build a collection of them this week (for my museum)

I think the plan is to keep the old blueprints in. So a player will be able to build them, if he desires to.
I am not sure, if the old ships will still be buyable at the yards/wharfs.
