Don't get me wrong, I love X4 Foundations just as much as X2. But I really miss the beautiful and mighty Boron. Will they ever come to X4?
There is nothing confirmed so far, but Egosoft received a goverment grant to make project codename X-22.
Before that, they received grants for both Pirate DLC and Terran DLC.

X-22 grant is triple the size of Pirate DLC.

This might indicate something massive, like Boron DLC, or a new stand-alone X4 game (like X3AP is stand alone to X3R) with Borons.

This could be also something different, like X4 VR, or X-game with multiplayer, but if I had to bet my lifesavings, I'd bet on a new stand alone X4 game which will add Borons.
Maybe as an expansion? Personally the thought of Boron floating in Levitating jars seems like a half-baked solution when they want the Boron to return in all their beauty and glory.
Maybe they are making a huge expansion for the Boron's return that certain scripts might not be friendly for X4:Foundations and require a rework at the expense of save game compatibility.

As long as we get the Boron and their ships/economy? I will feel content.

Not sure if raised the question by others but wondering if recycler can also be used to destroyed stations similar way as to ship wrecks?

This would be nice especially in warzones good addition when you wouldn't need bring all construction materials from elsewhere but get from destroyed enemy stations.

They did state that this would be possible, I recall Bernd mentioned it in the interview with Captain Collins. I can't find it by skipping through the recorded interview just now but you should be able to find it if you give it a watch.

Okay ... I just saw this so let me get this straight.
The next Addon will actually cost money even for CE Owners, is piracy themed, the ships literary look like trash ducktaped together and collect Space trash and are thanks to that also literal trash cans?

Do you have any Idea ...

... how much I love this? I had hoped the Yaki scratch that itch but while the Ships are nice there are only two really.

Well aside from the "costs money" thing" but it had to happen at some point and why not make it fittingly the Piracy addon? Now lemme get the duck tape ready and wait for the Pre Order.

It'll be just 15 Euros. That's very cheap in the light of the big effort they put into this. So there's nothing to complain about.

I have a bad aftertaste that pirates should be the part of base game.

Mainly due to pathetic bare bone state of HAT, SCA, BUC (not even in game if you don't to the right plot arc), FAF and YAK.

Oh I don't. It's just not the part I love but I really don't mind it (Kinda was meant as a joke since it's the Piracy add on). II will preorder it in a Heartbeat.

They could also just put everyone else into space suits and have the entire Boron stations and ships be filled with water and floating Borons.
Would add something new and quite unique.

The spacesuit chair needs an overhaul anyway so more justification to make proper suits with small jetpack and magnetic boots to run around on ship/station hulls.

Sounds good, but the game currently can use some AI improvements on destroyer fleets first. The problem is quite known in many of ragnos28 videos on YouTube. This is not hating on the game, this is only an issue that needs addressing.

Like the Expanse? With the Grav Boots?
That be cool to see.
Yeah, those Jetpack chairs are a bit janky, boxey, like something from modern day astronauts, we need something more sleek, futuristic.
Again, those Martian Marine battle suits from the Expanse are awesome, should have something like that for marines.

As useless is this feature might sounds, I'd love to spacewalk with the spacesuit on the ship hull with those grav boots stepping sounds :)
It would really make you FEEL the size of the ships.

Marines with Grav boots cutting through the ships hull to get inside the ship would look pretty cool to watch.

Well CoH release date was announced on 12th Feb, and released on 15th March based on some quick googling.

So they still have time :)

Also Soundtrack release date is a good sign too.

Definitely hoping for some new screenies and another ToA Trailer! :P

Which is the perfect day for a release date announcement and new trailer, with subsequent release on 28th March.

That's my bet, anyway :D
