Hello everybody :)

I thought I've found the holly grail, an SCA shipyard, turn out it was just a maintenance station :P Oh well, maybe next time :)

This has existed since release (1.00).

You can "build" the shipyard/wharf for SCA yourself using generic station building mission.

1) Find a station building mission from SCA.
2) Design the station that is required for mission to complete.
3) It the end of design queue add modules needed for ship rpoduction (e.g. shipyard, wharf and some more of container storage and habitation modules for crew recruitment).
4) Start station construction.
5) Once all mission required modules are build the station will be transfered to SCA.
6) Remaining modules will stay in construction queue (you can speed the build by delivering the resources) and construction will be finalized.
7) Station will turn into shipyard/wharf that will offer SCA ships and equipment.


I never did it with SCA, but I have HAT Wharf and Shipayrd in my game, that I build that way - I even added administration module, so now HAT own some sectors that were originally unclaimed.

Do HAT then actually build ships with the shipyard?

By the way, you don't need to put an admin module in your shipyard.

L- and XL-fabrication modules also count as "admin modules" when it comes to sector ownership.

And i'm not sure sure about SCA in that regard. I don't think they actually build any ships, i think they spawn.
As far as I remember SCA can also not take over any sectors, even if you give them admin modules or ship construction modules in their factories.
I remember building a SCA station with an admin module in Nopileos Fotune and the sector did NOT switch ownership to SCA.

I think they do - after I procured them a shipyard I saw the increase amounts of HAT miners and freighters even with some fighter escorts.

No HAT does not own a shipyard, warf or equipment dock. They do own a trade station though. I think at some stage they also owned a few pirate bases, not sure and I do not think they do anymore.

The terrans blew that up in my current game (and everything else in the sector) with their asgard. If I could get out there cleanly id take the sector but the P swarms are intense.

They have 'freeports' I think, which use the pirate icon. These are seemingly random however.

That would be either due to a mod or a bug. TER is meant to have case fire with most of the factions. Unless you make the Argons or TRI go to war with them.

The bug is that dropped Laser Towers will ignore the cease fire and shoot TER ships. This causes them to go hostile to all nearby installations and trigger police response. Due to the Asgard being the most powerful ship in the universe, obviously they will win and cause massive damage to anything that gets in their way.

Laser towers fire at anything 'red' I think. For instance, when you start a new game, laser towers belonging to factions like ZYA will fire on you even though your rep is not low enough to target even your combat ships yet. This also appears to apply to AI on AI reputation.

Been reported before, not sure why it's gone unaddressed, since it's 100% consistently replicable as far as I know.

I can confirm that happens, an terran intervention fleet had agro the argon fleet (no war) and begin to demolate everything in Argon Prime. I had to kill the Asgard myself, as no force the AI can muster, is able to stop an Asgard. Even if the local Behemoths had some distance advantage at first, they just "had" to get close, just like they do with stations :lol:

Yes after making the last post I think I have found a few.
no mods, Re-started game with 4.0 terran start. Noticed the pirate base was under attack, flew out there and saw the asgard attacking it, This was before upgrading to 4.1 and before finishing the operative plot. Now the xenons are going bezerk down there the asgard / terrans dont make it past trinity sanctum III, the last few game hours I havent seen the terrans down there at all which is odd. Maybe they have given up, I have 3 asgards 4 raptors and 9 syns down there tho.
