New player - EVA tutorial issue

Hi completely new player here just starting with the tutorial missions.

When I got to the part where I need to do an EVA, I found that the Eva suit is not free floating even though your instructor says it is. Strafe is free floating but pitch and roll are not.

The main issue though is that when I get into the corridor ship, I bounced straight through a solid wall and out. I was then able to ghost back into the corridor and complete the mission but there seemed to be no exit and I had to again fly through a solid wall to get out again.

Is this a known issue and/or representative of EVA in the game generally or am I missing something?

There's already been a report made about the collision problem.
