Opentrack DELANClip trackir help

Hi i have played with trackir before but I am new to x4 foundations how do I activate this for the game Im use to dcs world and ed where I just plug and play is this game compatible with opentrack trackir software? or is it the tobi that is only supported?

Windows or Linux? Windows X4 seems to be able to support TrackIR just fine and Linux X4 with some 'difficulties' as shown here.
