Distribute wares doesn't adhere to blacklists? (save) - Explained.

Hi,

See this save : I have 1 Demeter Trader and 1 blacklist, so easy to spot

The trader's behaviour is "Distribute Wares : Nostrop Oil". The blacklist contains only sectors GE 1-3-4 + Path to Profit. However, my trader keeps selling wares out of the designated blacklist.... why?

I understand that when I discover new sectors, they are not blacklisted by default (which could be a cool setting for the blacklist menu?), but here again my trader is in sector 18B which clearly is ticked

Here is an old thread with a similar issue that was eventually supposed to be fixed. See if anything in the various devs' comments in there helps to explain your observed situation.

This might be better in Tech Sp if this is a continuing or new bug.

Thanks... well, nothing really helpful in that other thread... seems that the behaviour was later patched... but I still find it odd... ??

Hi. Thanks for the report and the save.

Note that since the option to Restrict all sectors is active, you have effectively defined a whitelist. That is, ships using this list are only allowed to trade in the selected sectors.

I let the game run for an hour and can confirm that all trades logged by Demeter Vanguard (TGQ-151) have been in the whitelisted sectors.

Discovering new sectors does not affect this restriction.

So if I initially tick "restrict all sectors", then the ones I tick are whitelisted and not blacklisted. Cool !!
I'd got it the other way around. I'll check again, thanks a lot !!
