Terran 4-Pier Dock

Is it just me....or does the 4-Dock "T" Pier look kinda strange with no arms? Just a small circular dome.

In some ways it's my favorite. It's the one that comes closest to the idea of large ships just parking near the station and letting the drones do most of the traveling back and forth. Because of that though you do need to stock it up with cargo drones, the difference in flight time between this thing and a normal pier is enormous and if your drones need to make multiple trips to load/unload your ship will be stuck at the pier for a good while.

Oh, never knew there was a difference.
Also needing a lot of drones probably explains why early on they seem to suck.

The 4 pier dock is also awesome because it takes so little space. All the commonwealth factions have huge piers which can be a pain to place.

What I like is their hexa dock, because of its up down attachment points.
Perfect for vertical builds. Though the camera controls for that suck.

Ya that's what I like about it too, I just remembered seeing these NPC stations without any piers and thought why an npc wouldn't build a pier...

Going into the map it had a ??? for this tiny dome on-top of another module for a dock. Scanned it and saw it was a 4-pier dock. Was in total awe lol
