THE 4 MOST EFFECTIVE ADVICE FOR A SAFE RIDE WITH ELECTRIC SKATEBOARDS

Post by zoieterry »

One of the main concerns before taking up e-skateboarding is the safety since a motorized board can travel up to 20 miles per hour. Therefore, in this article I will give you some ultimate tips to keep yourself safe while enjoying the ride.

Moreover, the crucial thing you need to remember is that you must wear protective gear such as helmet, knee pads, wrist guards, elbow pads, etc whenever having boards under your feet. You can check out eSkateBuddy for these useful protective apparatuses, read about eSkateBuddy >> Click here.

UNDERSTAND THE INSTRUCTION OF THE REMOTE CONTROL

The remote control is one of the most important perks which an electric skateboard can provide better than an ordinary skateboard. Before taking it for a ride, you should spend time reading the instruction papers of the remote and understand all the function of the buttons.

With a remote control, you can do a bunch of things like controlling the movements, braking and controlling the throttle. You also need to know how to turn off the remote or switch from forward to reverse gear control. With some experience, you can go further with speed modulation.

However, the main drawback is that without the remote control you can go anywhere with your electric skateboard. Hence, you should get yourself a strap to prevent the wireless remote from dropping off while riding or accidental braking.

KEEP AN EYE ON THE BOARD WHILE CHARGING

Although the recent technology in charging the battery helps to cut the current when the battery is fully charged, you should always check the board regularly while charging and unplug the charger right away when the battery gets to 100%.

Doing this will prevent overheating the battery or even battery explosion while charging due to some malfunctions inside the electric circuits inside the board. However, don’t worry too much since the chance for an explosion is extremely low.

READY FOR BAILING

In some circumstances, you are not able to stop the board immediately when you are about to collide with a moving vehicle or an unexpected obstacle on the way. In these cases, you need to jump off the board to ensure your safety. I usually do this while I am heading down a hill and have no idea about the incoming traffic.

Nevertheless, you should always make full use of the brake before thinking about jumping off the moving board since it can lead to severe injuries if you do it incorrectly. For me, I am not familiar with the brake so I usually press the brake as hard as I can to stop the board; however, it is kind of embarrassing.
Remember to ensure your safety and avoid skating anywhere near traffic or unwanted incoming vehicles. If you really need to jump off the board regularly, learn how to jump properly to avoid accidents.

RESPECT OTHERS AND SAY NO TO CONFRONTATIONS

You may love skating with your e-board on the streets but many others don’t. Therefore, you need to avoid any fights or confrontations with people on the street. Just say sorry and leave, it doesn’t hurt.
There are reasons why the owners of the property and business don’t like electric skaters since when they skate, they can create marks and scratches everywhere on their ground.

You can see many videos on the internet about these fights and you should know the consequences as well. If you are in this case, respect others and leave, don’t ever try to say a nasty comment but stick up for yourself.
If bad things happen and you need to use force to defend yourself, you should call the police for a better solution between you and the owners.

CONCLUSION

These are the common useful tips for better riding with your e-board. However, don’t let these warnings stop you from enjoying the sports, just take your board out and go for a ride but remember your safety goes first.

No, station turret and shield additions do not need a builder ship present.

This is a bit a blessing and a curse. In my savegame all my def stations were without turrets and I didn't notice it until they were attacked and didn't fight back, all you actually need for turrets is traders that deliver the necessary components to a station build storage. I wish there was an info in the build menu that simply says 'no builder required, turret parts missing' or something instead of 'hire builder' and leaving people clueless about why we still need 11M credits when the station is actually finished.

Advanced Electronics, Field Coils, Shield Components, and Turret Components.
However, they have to be delivered to the Build Storage. The station does not need any storage for these materials.

Energy, Drone Components, and Smart Chips (and Missile Components?) are delivered to the station itself so that it can assemble drones (and missiles?). No storage module is required for those either.
