Tried to get the cargodrones working for weeks.
Finally I gave up.

It seems this behaviour of cargo drones between different stations or statons and build storages is very different for many users.

So I think it's better to implemet it safely or remove it...


Exploring

Code: Select all

[Beta 2] Changed Explore order to end when all map hexes in its search radius have been discovered.
[Beta 2] Removed Explore order from list of available behaviours.
[Beta 2] Fixed queued-up Explore orders completing without having explored.
 
The behaviour explore is removed but the order still exists.
Choose a ship, rightclick inside the sector and choose explore.

For me, the single manual order makes more sense than the default behaviour.
When a sector is explored there is no reason for the ship to continue exploring..

It's not that, it wasn't working as intended. For instance, drones were too slow to deliver wares between stations and were reserving large quantities of goods, which wasn't economically viable (from faction perspective). "Explore" default behaviour didn't make much sense.

Don't get me wrong, I agree completely!

But in serval conversations on Steam, Youtube and here, nobody was able to explain how to get this work.
Much people got random results ( seemed so...)

Maybe you got the trick, let us know :wink:

So it looks like the ability to apply paint mods from one ship to another has been removed. Thanks for the fix...

Fixed HQ Research Module not being named correctly in certain gamestarts.
Fixed HQ Research Module being removed when loading construction plan.


What is the HQ Research Module?

It's a pre built module inside the headquarter station for the player. You can use the lift inside the station to travel to the research module.

Yeah, I'm waiting for this too - this would actually increase player impact on war effort, but I think military jobs logic would need to be re-written.
