Q1. You've previously stated that you plan on expanding station-side gameplay by offering missions through NPCs. Are you considering also fleshing out station announcements, welcome messages (more personalised to faction) and faction representatives? The monosyllabic greetings and boilerplate dialogue feel like a step back compared to previous games and make different faction's stations feel alike.

Q2. Would it be possible to improve the ship/station building screen to be more immersive? As it is it feels very disconnected with the same generic background regardless of context. Station building could use the skybox of the current system and ship building could show the prospective ship docked to the relevant station/carrier (for extra effect, you could even have some of the little constructor drones hovering around it).

Q3. In your roadmap you mentioned expanding and improving generic missions as a major goal going forward. Are you considering adding an XRM-style bounty system for both player and AI ships? If a player is able to rack up a bounty on their head, acts of aggression or piracy would have more realistic, tangible effects beyond straight reputation. Not only that, but you'd have an organic source of generic "missions" with a police licence or equivalent giving you access to a faction's bounty listings (and rewards), with vague 'last seen' locations of said vessels in their space alongside a list of their crimes/victims.

Strongly agreed on all points. I also think such bounties might be doable in a way that doesn’t noticeably bloat save games and bloat performance further. For example, perhaps only a couple could be tracked at a given time.

Q: Are there plans for more interesting NPCs to be hired (at least Captains), even if just something like 3-4 word procedural backgrounds, to make them more memorable?

Having nothing to say about them but "Here lays Bob, Three-and-a-halfer pilot and terrible engineer. Boosted hard till the end, 2965-2992 AD"... feels rather cold.

My suggestion is that you should choose a few interesting ones as those have a much higher chance to be looked at.
Q1 : Why doesn't Egosoft actively promote (themselves not a publisher) to USA market?

Q2 : End-to-end play testing (new start to natural conclusion) feels very missing in Egosoft games.... What gives and why not recruit player testers as a panel that can represent the different player styles/personas?

A few questions:
1) Any chance Odysseus gets a redesign to look less like a hair dryer?
2) Any plans to add more capital ship classes? I.e. dreadnoughts, battle ships.
3) What about unique player only ships? I.e. Skunk, Hyperion.

The only thing I want to know is if that station scanning minigame, where you have to listen for the static and find the data link, has finally and irrevocably been removed. It truly is the worst game mechanic in this whole game...

Isn't that only needed for the HQ "mini-plot" and for stealing blueprints and so on?

It's also how to find missions as well... Not only do I hate scanning the data leaks from the ship, but they're even worse if you have to space walk it in order to decrypt it... ugh...

Question: Will there be changes to or are there plans for better crew management?

Q - Do you have any plans to improve the lore, depth and believability of the universe? Such as AI differences between fighting a Paranid pilot and a Teladi one, or docking-rights and purchase reputation requirements to differentiate the races?

Q - Do you forsee the Kha'ak being expanded upon to become a proper faction and threat in X4? Capital ships, stations, economy, etc?

Q - How well is the games engine handling a much larger amount of sectors in a split vendetta game (performance)?

Q - Are you happy to leave the games modular ship design philosophy as it currently is? Do you think it restricts your artists? (generic engines etc).

Q - Are you happy with the generic weapons in X4? (Generic weapon names and lack of race specific weapons, Missiles dont have names, etc).

Edit for wording.

Questions about 3.0

- You have plans to make possible create trader / miner wings (caravans?) where each ship will trade (maybe have same behaviour that main ship)?
- Will quests have remaining time for completing? At this moment I see empty field with time and this make any quest easy.
- Will turret activation / deactivation sound improved? Its sounds as NPS chairs when they using it.
- On AMA I saw that you make new traider ship for teladi. Any info about ships for other races?
- On AMA I saw that 3.0 will be focusing on exploration. At this moment I no have motivation explore map if I move to "random encounter" zone, because it little boring for me and I think that this is end of sector map and I'll not found interesting things. In 3.0 this encounters can force me to explore map or it just me?

Split vendetta

- Will split sectors already open or we will complete few quests to see gate reactivation? If no need quest, does it mean, that game will starts little later and will lore explain it?

Same question still stands: When will the locked SCA relations issue be fixed?

It's not unreasonable to expect all Early Access and placeholder stuff to be dealt with before paid DLC cycles start.

Simple question:
Will there be uniforms with the player logo for the crew? Not every day is casual Friday.

Thanks

X4 i consider a great game and still some big issues that might be related to lots of negative player feedback is the fact that we can't escape automation.

There my question is the team aware of the fact that X4 has scaling issues in the way the player interacts with the universe?
While perfectly fine at the low and up end of the scale are there any plans to move the game away from full automation to a more player driven experience?

Examples:
Bigger Ships and Stations need more specialist crew to affect performance and capabilities like X:R did it or the Lucike Scripts for X³:XX added.
More nitty gritty options to tweak standard behavior of Ship/Station subordinates.
A real fleet system not just wings in wings in wings that can be tweaked by the player like the X³:XX CODEA system from Lucike?

The list goes on but the gist is automation is great to have the NPC do meaningful things to compete with yet take away almost all micro management options for the player removes depth.

2.60 did add the option to create Storage facilities/Trade Hubs kinda.

So here my question as we do have Container/Bulk(Ore)/Liquid as in X:R but no dedicated transport ships do those ships make a return any time soon and open up more options for the player to plan and setup production lines?

To push it even further has there been any ideas to cancel the Vanguard/Sentinel concept to remove bloat for more meaningful choices in factions like there are with the Pulsar and Quasar for example instead?

Was it? I missed it, just watched the recording, there wasn't much "live" in it (like, what, two, three questions from the chat?), might as well have been another promo video. Three men in a room struggling to share a mike.
