Pushing it back is absolutely the right decision if it gives you enough time to properly tackle some of the fundamental issues with the game as it stands.

Take all the time you need! 2.60 is a big milestone update IMO for such a modest bump in version number. I'll be waiting excitedly for the rest whenever it comes :)

3.0 is a very important patch. So better put as many implementations as possible in it before release. Good call and good luck.

It’s a real shame not to be able to release 3.0 for the Christmas holidays, but I would prefer it done right this time. 2.6 is great and exactly where the game should have been on release.

reading this thread i´am probably the only one who is dissapointed on the delay. i agree that current 2.6 patch brings the game to a level on which it should had been released, but the game has now matured approximately one year, and i had fun playing it even with the bugs. i have enjoyed every patch and the extensions and improvments which were implemeted, and i was prepared to accept that 3.0 and the DLC would have come with new bugs which were adressed later. In my opinion this is a strength of Egosoft so release and support their game closely. Maybe i´am more faulty tolerant than others, but until now Egosoft deserved some faith in them.

Here I was hoping for a 3.0 beta in the coming weeks. Oh well, better move the deadline than cutting back on features and improvements.

When will escort behaviour for player owned ships be fixed? X4 is a great game but I haven't played it for some time
because of these issues.

I am sure the patch update list states that the xenon station bug and drones not returning to stations are suppose to be fixed.

Well not in my game there not.

Xenon stations can be destroyed but the just keep respawning magically by themselves. Matrix451

I have a shipyard that released its over two thousand drones because I foolishly decided to fly through the sector after 2.2 and due to ships from different factions attacking each other as soon as they are built they hit my station and it responded. Months and months they have sat around the station. And still they sit.

Unbelievable.... wait all this time for this update that has not even scratched the surface and low and behold not even the things reported as fixed are fixed.

you could sign up for Dropbox, its free and upload there
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

If you are on Windows 10, there is a feature called OneDrive where you can upload and share a link to files. That's what I use for uploading save games, it's free for me.

Ego usually provide a support email you can send saves to, just ask for that in a pm. No need for online hosting sites.

Been a long while.... and still, you Egosoft folks are outdoing yourself.

I hope the depth of control (cls software) eventually catches up with 3, but seriously, what a game. Took me months to get over the curve again.

I have to upgrade and move to WIN10 during Xmas anyway and hope to make another major architecture leap in CPU/GFX so this delay isn't going to hurt much.

Especially since I keep putting off really starting a full game with my available time on others. Will be nice to be on best hardware I can afford with a full 3.0 build.

Nooo. Did you say release 3.0 and a Split Expansion!?

Please don't tell me we're going to have to pay extra to have the Split in the game, I guess the Boron too...

Please make it part of the 3.0 release.
