Station Spam Removal - Has the devs' attention.
I know that the next patch will remove station spam ( hopefully )
Its just that that fix is at least a month out ( after Beta )
cant you just do a minor hot fix to run a batch file through a user save to delete any station greater than 25 count in any given sector.. Iknow obviously that its not THE fix but it would allow those of us with massive station counts to at least play the game till the real fix comes???

Re: Station Spam Removal
No, it wouldn't, because with the underlying problem not solved, the stations would just start appearing again almost straight away. This is actually a surprisingly complex issue and not something that can be solved with a "quick fix". The various issues that contributed to this are pretty much the main focus of the next update, and we are working hard to iron out a few remaining issues to get to the point where we can put it out to Beta and, once you guys have had a chance to make sure it's working as intended, to release it.

thank you for the response
Re: Station Spam Removal - Has the devs' attention.
Will the fix "just" solve the building spam, or will it remove some of the superfluous stations?
I noticed my game as accrued quite a few of these stations in a few sectors, so wondering if I should stop playing until 2.6 or if I can go on.

Excessive numbers of stations will, of course, be removed as part of the fix.

No "of course" about it for me, as I can only imagine it's a non-trivial fix, but very happy to hear, thanks!

Re: Station Spam Removal - Has the devs' attention.
I am playing the beta. The fix worked really well, but only for a few days. Instead of factions building a zillion stations they are building ships and conquering Xenon sectors. Is that what the developers wanted? FPS is back down my game, but I did enjoy a 30% or so increase for a while there. That's why it's a beta is guess. It took me a while to find DevNet on here. That place is very busy with thread posting since the patch. I play X4 very slightly modded, so can not get involved unfortunately. I like vanilla ice cream, but vanilla games? Only one vanilla play thru so i have a point of reference before trying mods.
One thing I really hope gets dev's attention is the property and map lists. The way they have a mind of their own and jump around when I try to click on something makes them annoying and after organizing a large fleet my blood pressure must have surely gone up while fighting that user interface and the way it auto scrolls to places i do not want it to go.
