Can I play VR-edition without a headset (i.e. just use a 3D TV) ?

Maybe I'm missing something about how this thing is done ...

Wondering if a 3D TV can be used on it's own (with active or passive glasses) to play X Rebirth VR Edition ?

You can play the non-VR X games in '3D' using glasses with/without a 3D TV if you have a suitable graphics card driver.

Remember that XRVR uses Vulkan but the non-VR X games currently do not.

Google '3D glasses' in the exact phrase box here.

I didn't realise non-VR X-games 'supported' 3D much.

Either way it looks like nVidia (GTX980) need me to have their own brand of IR-sender + shutter glasses
- all I've got is bluetooth TV shutter glasses (& an IPS monitor = too slow).

But maybe I can use my new 3D TV if I buy nVidia's glasses gear,
somehow after reading the forum posts, I can't see it being worthwhile - too many problems.
