Dialog loses defense upgrade choices when building station

When you build a station you're prompted to select defense upgrades. You can select how many but you don't see the effect on price. Then on the next page if you realize it's too expensive you have to go back, which clears your previous selection and you have to repeat the cycle until you reach a satisfactory price.

This looks to me like it's not working as intended.
