1 The Secret Craftables
With the introduction of crafting there are also some "secret" and unique artifacts added to the game which can be crafted (if you found all of them) to very powerful upgrades for the Skunk.
Those artifacts are the "Rare Engine", "Spacefly Egg Collection", "Kha'ak Relics" and "Ancient Relics".
The latter two are located in very specific "Lockboxes" around the universe in the main game (no expansions/DLCs needed) while the first two are dropped randomly by destroyed ships and opened Lockboxes, that also means that the "Rare Engine" as well as the "Spacefly Egg Collection" can be crafted multiple times.
On completion of such an artifact you can either trade it in for lots of cash or a unique "Mk5" Skunk upgrade (nowhere else available) with the so called "Treasurehunt"-missions which you can get from random NPCs.
Treasurehunt Mission
>> You can find treasure hunt missions by flying around stations and looking for missions with a light bulb
(40% chance for mission to appear at all in a zone)
(other mission types have light bulbs too)
>> Some treasure hunt missions only spawn when you already have the item while others can be found without (as in v3.00)
>> Upon accepting a treasure hunt mission it is going to stay silently in your mission computer until you successfully crafted the wanted item
>> After that you are lead to your customer, when you give him the rare item he is going to ask you if you rather want the money or the unbuyable upgrade
(The upgrade is worth less when selling)
>> When choosing the upgrade you have to undock first, then the mission guidance is going to lead you to a mechanic who is able to install the upgrade in your Skunk.
(You are going to get the money immeadiatly)

Oh this might be the same one we are talking about. I didn't knew it is also dropped right now from fighters, might be bug as it isn't completly implemented right now in the v3b OR there is another useful skunkupgrade still to come as it was not explicitly said that it is exactly this engine!Ebron wrote:I would like to add another recipy we found in the Italian forum.
A RARE ENGINE. Propably less powerful than the ancient one, but you can find the parts for it just destoying fighters. Of course you will have to destroy countless number of them to drop the right parts but that's nice anyway

I haven't found any rare stuff yet but I did craft the security hacker thing in the lawless place that is DeVries. On my next trip to the local ship supermarket in Far Out I totally forgot I had it and barely escaped with 10% hull after every single police ship in the zone came after me lol.
I didn't knew it was already known in the english forum that there are 10 unique items in the game, or are going to be.

I think you do it through the show skills info screen that has the skills and stars on it. For NPCs that don't have the show skills option in the radial menu you'll need to access their skills screen through the management section of the ship's or station's info dialog screen.VincentTH wrote:Sorry if this has been asked before.
I got the training book(s), but how do I upgrade the crew members?
Someone in Beta forum reported that it only worked when they were on the skunk though.wysiwyg wrote:I think you do it through the show skills info screen that has the skills and stars on it.
