Somewhat useful. But can we find out, in code, the resource amounts used and produced, and over what time, by a factory?

Yeah, I had some input into a few of the new commands Wink
You'll find quite a few useful economy related scripting commands in X3.
You should be able to do some really clever things now with production cycles.

You could even check how much time is left on a certain production run to make sure that you had a freighter sitting on its doorstep the instant it was completed if you really wanted to get clever ....
Cheers.

yes, you can add them, yes there are interactive ones.
you can take a look at the econ event scripts to get an example of some of the galaxy events that will shape sector economies and be reported as bbs news articles. The news engine isn't terribly intuitive however, and I don't have a ton of time to explain it right now.
But it allows you to make various 'segments' of text and then piece the segments together randomly or subject to certain criteria to construct different news articles all the time. (which can be related to sector occurrences)
Oh, the joy of it.
Cheers.

DZorro,

That's liveable.

I may just pick up this game up when it's available here.

Has anyone discovered whether or not new sectors, added by modding, will show up in the galaxy map?
