(yet more stupid questions)
I've just found a crate of space flies - not spectacular news in itself -however i haven't a clue what to do with them. Is there anywhere in particular i can sell them cos i haven't encountered anywhere yet that deals in them. Oh and there are only 5 flies in the crate. Also, i was wondering where i can get engine upgrades for a reasonable price???? (ie, less than 1900 cr)?

Space flies - Any pirate station will buy them. There are a few other places that might buy them (consult the Argonopedia).
Engine tuning costs the same wherever you get them from. So, if you don't want to spend that 1900 right now, wait until you can afford it. Like, after you sell your space flies.

Split Chelt Aqueriums are the best bet other than that any pirate base will take them
By the sounds of it your only just begining so you might not know much more than the argon core sectors. There should be a pirate base way north of the north gate of orebelt you can sell them at!

Pirate bases to sell flys and engine tune in one, split like the flys to drive their factories also. Flys are classed as contraband so dodge the cops.
