Toy Soldiers.

Toy soldiers, lower then pawns. Yes the children of Gaia, a circle in the sand, puppeted by so many, children scrabbling in the sand for pebbles. They fill their lives with misplaced hopes, to them happiness is a mat in the doorway. I can’t help but be scared for them. Violence is their way, not intentionally, but what is intentional these days… but there is something unexpected about this otherwise backward species.

There are those among them… even now… cursed with the sight… Where and when this began to occur is no mystery to us but why? Why must these ants be cursed? Those who among the bright flames must also see the ashes, was it an unintentional seeding? Evolution?

Of course not… When their planet was seeded fourteen and six Gee’Ceas ago it was not our intention to create such a dangerous can I say genocidal race. Nor was it our intention to allow them into the universe as a whole, indeed we went to great lengths to impede their development, yet now we are faced with a choice… What to do with the Children if Gaia, now that they have escaped into the gate network. They have already done damage to many worlds with their dirty hands, many unique macrobacterial ecosystems have already been irrevocably damaged. What action can be taken. Although our technology could remove this virus from the network like so much garbage, indeed under different circumstances this would not be an issue, but it cannot be ignored that this race shows signs of Transcendent Psychology, this is demonstrated but not limited to the sight of which some 42% of the population, current projections estimate that within this Ki’enn, that number will jump to 100%.

The unexpected awakening of the Gaian Terraformer Machines was not only a startling development but also bought us much needed time. Many of the Gaian ‘R. Gunnes’ survived to settle in the Sonra planetary system, where their interbreeding with the local inhabitance caused much damage to the Sonran experiment, within recent kA’h there has been a startling increase in the number of sighted Sonran individuals, although not unexpected. The viability of Sonran, Gaian genomes were, at the arrival of the ‘R. Gunne’ was close to 45% compatible, the current generation have compatibility as high as 85%. The continued mutation of the Sonran Genome is particularly worrisome with regards to the somewhat virulent nature of the Gaian genetic material. The Gaians were seemingly gifted Jump drive technology by their creations, ‘R gunnes’ describe these machines as ‘Outsider’, this action continues to puzzle or greatest minds, there was no miss jump, the ship was successfully jumped to the Gaian System only to self destruct N’zae later leaving much of the jump systems intact but crippling the vessel itself.

This even leads us to our current meeting, it is only a matter of time until the Children of Gaia are reunited with their R. Gunne descendants and with this Reunion comes the possibility of losing all control of the experiment. Gaian technology is likely to tip the balance we have worked so hard to achieve, but also it will unleash the strongest sighted ones outside of this amalgamation. Those that may pre-empt futures actions. Unlike with Akeela we will not be able to operate under a veil of secrecy.

Ancient ones speak, tell us what is to be done, and it shall be done.
