Embedded Nvidium Selling Software
You'll need to have a transporter device installed on your ship in order to use the new trading command : "Sell my Nividium".
You'll be charged with a 50000 cr fee each time you use it and every unit of Nividium will be sold for 15000 cr.
I wrote that script after a dangerous mining campaign in the 5th khaaks sector : back home with at least 500~600 units and was able to sell only 10...
I hope you'll enjoy that script.
Feel free to post ideas to improve or to nerf the script.

That's far far too steep a fee. How often are you going to be hauling 600 units of nvidium? There's probably not much more then that in the entire game. You'll need to have a transporter device installed on your ship in order to use the new trading command : "Sell my Nividium".

Yes, it's an other way to sell your Nvidium. But you need a station (not cheap) capable of selling it. After mining campaigns in K sectors, I usually come back with loads of nvid. I must go there with at least 3 TS to stock my production -> The fee is neglectible in front of the margin. When I perform in-sectors minning, I bind my TSs to sell it the usual way.

So how do you go about mining in their sectors?
Do you invade it and wipe the ships out and while they respawn before bringing i your TL to mine?

I go there with my titan (gargantua), use the MK1 engine tunning on it to have a sufficient speed to run away from the khaaks big ship, next, I fly as fast as I can near an asteroid full of nvidium (spoted before by a previous mission with a M6 and a fast M5), launch my hornet missile, send my TS to collect the nvidium chunks and set my Titan to attack all ennemies with the aegis weapon system. I've also 20 M3 to protect my mothership during the process. If a K capital ship is too close from the theatre of operations, I use my Titan to destroy it (not with its wepons, but with its speed boost induced by the MK1). The critical step is when my ships are docking back. In think I'll buy a destroyer as soon as I can afford one to protect me during that part of "the mining mission". Dozens of little khaaks ships are usually destroyed and sometimes, I can add 1 or 3 khaaks to my collection... The business is quite risky, but it worth to be run...
Minning incomes : about 15000000 to 17000000 Cr per campaign. My favourite sector is the 5th.

Wow! A whole new adventure!Ideaspy 2.5 wrote:Minning incomes : about 15000000 to 17000000 Cr per campaign. My favourite sector is the 5th.

I'll have to try that, if I can scrape together some courage.

nividium as a second resource
i made nividium a second resource on all teladi factories, 2 units per factory and they last forver for the factory, but there are enough factories to allow me to make a bit of cash.
try making a new missile type (factory) that uses nividim as a primary resource. my nividium missile does 2x more than the hornet, but i need to mine nividium to make the beasts
cheers

I have got various modding packages (eg X2 Editor, etc) so might get involved in a spot of modding later. At the moment I am sticking to the orthodox universe, but trying to fill some of the gaps.
One of my projects was to use Secondary resources, but burianek has already covered it - though it is being a pain trying to get hold of it, as the link has been disabled, and XaiCorp links back to the Egosoft thread.
The Babyface shipyard is actually an enlarged equipment dock, so I have decided to convert similar into an actual factory, so that can use res to produce real ships - rather than simply 'create ship' etc. I am going to tie it into a mission plot to acquire the blueprints to such ships (eg capping & reverse engineering, etc), so that they can be added as products at the player's factory. I am treating the ST packages as blueprints as well, so have ST factories in mind.
I have been checking anything that looks similar to see what other people are up to. But it all looks like station management style scripts, eg Autostation, and others. There don't seem to be too many people about. X3 might be responsible. Have got copy, but unfortunately don't like it.
By the way, my absence was down to my pc going bellyup, so had to reinstall windows, et al. Hence losing most of my downloads, and personal scripts - a couple did survive on another drive, but most of it was gawn. So lost heart for a while and played other stuff, eg Gothic, Might&Magic, Patrician, C&C, Settlers, Shogun... Now back with a mission...
Now going to send PM to Burianek to request his/her scripts...
See ya later.

If you fancy making mods or scripts which have not been covered visit this; http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=243803&start=0
It was built for the very purpose of old modders and new coming back to X2. There is a number of requests which would make the X2 community very happy if they was brought into the game.
