A new Flagshipp and more
Hi,
I have finished my mod with a Flagship, a TS with 5000 cargo and 3 rearturrets and a Dragon with 2 frontlasers and some optical tunings...

Can you please post the source TShips.txt and TCockpits.txt files for this mod?
I would like to look at the config line for the Dragon.
Alas I cannot seem to unpack them with x2tool - it tells me "Error in getting compression type".
Alternatively you could email the files to me, please PM for email.

Copy this into the Script folder
This Mod provides once the flagship in a dockyard somewhere in the X-Universe. The new dragon will appear in the correct split places and take the place of the original Dragon. The X-Transport will appear in an unrevealed location, so you must search for it. =)

Shield max 12 x 125MW
Hull 150,000
Power generator 100,000MW
Cargo Capacity 40,000
Ware transport class: station container ST
Hanger: 200 ships
Weapons: 6 Turrets with a total of 28 guns (Translation Note: I THINK it's 28, looked six times four is 24... so it must have two mains.)
Max Laser: gamma photon pulse cannon
X-Trans:
Speed max 240 m/s
Shield max 4 x 25MW
Hull 28,000
Power Generator 1,000MW
Cargo Capacity 3000-5000
Ware transport class extra-large Container XL
Turrets 3, armed capable of Gamma Particle Accellerator Cannons
Main Guns 2 Alpha High Energy Plasma Throwers

Optical improvements to the tail wings.
Weapons modified: Two Front lasers instead of just one.

Just a question Thalon. I'm I correct in the translation in saying that you have to FIND the ships? AltaVista's translater pretty much made gibberish out of that sentence, so I tried my best to peice it together.

Thlalon did you update the entire mod or just the Xtrans if so I just unpack both mod's and copy the v and cuts to my fs mod and then repack if thats the case as I have added a all of RA'S M3's to your mod and repacked it for my own useThalonMook wrote:Hi

BUGS:::
ONE: X-trans named a readmetext... so the text for it is missing.
TWO: Due to length, the X-Trans handles lumberously... more like a large semi.... especially in stations. For instance, any station other than the Delaxian Wheat Farm has a problem with the Instant Dock. (Successfully docked, and you hit select or escape to jump straight to the station menu.)
In ore mines, this results in you still being at the docking hatch, but turned to an odd angle. However manual flight is still possible. When this happens the cockpit ends up OUTSIDE the render of the station and you can see the entire inside area incorrectly.
Other than that... wonderful bulk transport.
The dragon works just fine, and I have yet to locate the Flagship. (And I'll bet, let alone afford it.)

Howdy,
I have a question, does the Flagship appear in a fixed position ?
or can it "spawn" in every shipyard that can be found ?
Ive been searching the universe for over 4 hours today and I havent found the darn thing lol ( and getting desperate )
btw. you only need to place the files that come with the mod in their locations right ? ( mod folder and script folder )
Or do I need to activate it in game aswell with the script editor ?

I just renamed the files to run as part of the game. The X-trans is located in two shipyards located in 'out of the way' sectors. Try looking in the odd places. Remote sectors with shipyards are your best pick. And from what I know, they are static.

And I found the flagship. It is indeed in an out of the way sector. And it's expensive too. Cost the price of three carriers. But it will be worth the cost, as it can run the role of destroyer, carrier, or TL... or all three at once. I looks cool too. Now I just got to save up for it.
If you want to find it, think of who builds really powerful combat based ships, and think of where they are located. I won't give more than that, lest I ruin Thalon's hiddenness. When you find it, you'll be like "Well DUH!"

I have a different probbie now tho..
Since I am still searching for the Flagship I decided to get me a dragon and see what it would look like with the optical improvements BUT...
Nothing at all has changed to the ship... this makes me think im doing something wrong.
Ive got no idea what tho

I'll simplify directions...
Your first problem is probably that you forgot to select the Mod from the X2 splash menu before actually running the game. However, if you want to simply run the mod as part of the game... see below. (I run Flagship and Buriniks (I want to say Brainiac's) Laser and Econ rebalance Mod.
Kaaskop: Follow this list.
1: Check X2 Directory. Locate files 01.dat through 04.dat and 01.cat through 04.cat.
2: If you only have to 04 cat and dat... use 05. If you have a higher number file, go one higher.
3: RENAME Flagship.cat and Flagship.dat to 05.cat and 05.dat. (Or the one higher if you have to.) And keep them in the X2 directory.
4: Play and have fun.

I really want to use your Mod, but it isn't working for me for some reason. When I go to buy the ships in the two particular shipyards, they show up as a Xenon I and a Xenon H, but the Xenon I is nothing but a blurry white hourglass shape, and the Xenon H looks like a very tiny purple/pinkish blob with yellow spots in it (I'm not even joking).
However, I never managed to get other flagship Mods to work on my system either (always tried to fly the Enterprise, got the same hourglass shape).
I wish I knew what was wrong
