Combat BBS Missions

I bought myself a new dragon M6 ( what a smooth ship :o ) after saving money for a few days. Its fully maxed out and now I want to do some BBs combat missions. So I jump into my pegasus and dock in a station and check the board. If I accept a suitable mission ( i am ace 2nd grade and mogul), they start yelling at me that my ship is useless (M5) and I should bother other people. So my question is how can i do those missions with my M6, docking with my M5??

It seems to me that they check the ship ur applying in and decide based on that if they grant u the mission or not...or should i only try in EquipDocks and ShipYards??
Maybe i am doing something wrong or am mistaken, but I cant see what....
I love this game so much and want to get further (and get even more addicted :roll: )

Any help is highly appreciated.. :)

This has happened to me sometimes, and SOMETIMES it may be a glitch.

BUT what is definitely true is that you MUST have weapons on your M5 and the weapons MUST be "in position" i.e. not just in the cargo bay.

So go get some AIREs or whatever!

Ooo...forgot to say, in addition you have to be at least the rank they are asking for. It is a peculiar trait that many BBS missions are for the rank above the one you are at...but keep trying and one will come up.

I think i found my mistake: there are no lasers in my M5 ... :headbang:

They really are dumb the npc's in x2, "You can't do the mission you're in an m5, yes i know you have an M2 parked outside but your not un it so you'll get killed doing the mission".

Just slap a couple of B-IRE's on your peggy and you'll be able to take them as long as you have the rank. The BBS doesn't care what ships you have available elsewhere, just the one you are sitting in.
