Equipment dock VS trade station VS HQ

Is there any difference beetween all these besides the amount of docking bays and the fact that capitals can't dock on trade stations (for player owned)?

No difference between Trade Docks and Equipment Docks. Corporate HQ's are Docks too.

HQ, as in Player HQ, is different. While Docks (can) have a (very limited) fixed stock size for each ware, the PHQ is like a ship with one large cargobay that you can fill in whatever way.

PHQ has the build/repair/paint/equip/scrap functions.

Yeah, I was aware with the PHQ but got confused as the traditional limitations with trade stations and equipment docks for the AI was lifted for the player. Also pretty sad that it's not possible to directly supply softwares through player owned stations but I can live with it.
