I loved that show and still do. Stiers did an excellent job and brought something truly fresh to M.A.S.H. He will be missed, though he lives on. (M.A.S.H. still runs in syndication, today. Likely for a long time to come, too.)
He also did voice work for Myst V and Uru

Sad news. Regardless of how much effect his wind-up radio had, he pretty much pioneered the idea that First World engineers could attempt to build things that would help the Third World--I wonder how many engineers since have been inspired by that?

Sir Ken Dodd dies, aged 90. We had just been talking about him a few weeks back as there was something on the television about him, I had asked if he was still alive. They must have knew it was coming as he got married last Friday to his partner of 40 years.

I loved Ken Dodd, he was an institution. As a kid, I remember seeing him in pantomime in the 60's.

Ken Dodd was the last of the music hall type comedians, though to be honest he was in a class of his own and will be sadly missed by me at least. :cry:

I was intending to take my wife to see his show this spring; April. ( Which would have been the ninth time for her! ) It is amazing to think he was still touring right up until the end.

Ken Dodd chats to us about his incredible career.
Pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space

Rest in peace Ken. You gave your creations voice that lifted hearts. It certainly lightened a few in the far east places in the short time you were on Star TV and in between BBC's news breaks back when.
