G940 system shows as 3 separate devices - Any Win10 tips to combine use of inputs?

Post by brettt777 » Thu, 7. Jan 16, 20:49

I've wanted a newer space sim to try with my G940 and bought the Egosoft package with X, X2, X3 Reunion, etc. In the X3 games, when I look at input device on the launcher, it shows my G40 shows up as three seperate devices (joystick, pedals and throttle) and when I choose one, that's the only one that works. I have tried X2, X3 Reunion and X3 TC and they're all the same. Is there any way to fix this so I can use my entire control system? Will Albion Prelude and Rebirth be the same? Please tell me I can do something about this...

I think you need an input device application such as PPJoy or XPadder for using multiple similar input devices in X games. Here is an example taken from another game.

Maybe this could help too.

Good luck.

I'm guessing PPjoy is not designed for Windows 10. I just spent the last three hours trying to get it to work and I can't even get it to install correctly. During the installation it says that it cannot install the drivers and they have to be installed manually but I have no idea where they go. Tried Windows\System32\drivers but that did no good. Is there some way to make my three G940 devices into one device in Windows 10?

Sorry, that question is beyond my experience. I hope that someone else can help you with that. I have made the thread title slightly more specific to attract the right attention. Good luck.
