Post by froger »

Hi so I upgraded to windows 10 play X3:TC and X3:AP but when I went to play X Rebirth it gives me this error,"0xc000007b". Any help would be nice.

Most likely the well known 32-bit vs 64-bit DLL mismatch issue... Look in the forums here, there are several threads and descriptions on how to fix that (it's not applicable to Windows 10 - happens on any Windows when for some reason incorrect DLLs are loaded).

I cannot open a .dwi file. Please just copy and paste it into a post as per the FAQ and don't forget all the other info such as mods etc. That way everybody can see it and try to help you.

@froger: Ur XINPUT1_3.DLL is a 32-bit one located in C:\windows\system32 while it should be a 64-bit verion.

Try to reinstall the DX redistributables. If that doesn't work, move out that file from the system32 directory and then try to install DX again. That should then solve it.

now let me note that if you play either fallout 3 or FNV you have to swap between the 32 and 64 bit the 32 bit works with the fallout games but you need the 64 bit for X rebirth.

I can't tell much about the issue u have with Fallotu 3 or FNV.
At first guess it sounds like u are missing the 32-bit DLL in the appropriate directory in Windows and therefore these games try to load the 64-bit one from the system32-folder.

U could give it a try to first put the correct 64-bit XINPUT1_3.DLL back into the system32 folder and then run the DX redistributable package (use google to locate it on the MS page).

If that still doesn't fix the issue, confirm that in SysWOW64 there is no XINPUT1_3.DLL (that's where the 32-bit one should be).

Maybe it works, if u just copy the 32-bit version manually into that directory. An alternative workaround could be to put the xinput1_3.DLL into the same directory with the executables of these games.

However since these are not issues with X Rebirth or any Egosoft game, u are a bit off topic here in this channel. I suggest u try to get help with that on the Forums for these games. The user base over there is most likely more familiar with specifics to issues with these games than people over here are.
