NPC Capital stuck in shipyard

So I finally got my Podklenov chain set up to supply the RoC Shipyard in Darned Hot Air... and before I can start mass-producing Titurels, the RoC decides to build one of their own. No problem, right? Problem is, the ship doesn't seem to have ever gotten a captain and is not moving out of the gantry. Can't comm it, waiting, zoning, and reloading doesn't work, and even if I blow it up the wreckage still blocks production. Anyone know a workaround? Using version 2.5b7.

hire a captain on your Skunk, then go to the crew room and tell him/her to work there. Hopefully they'll fly there on a transport drone like they're supposed to.

It's an RoC ship, not mine. Doesn't even show up on the map.

If it doesn't have a captain. It is possibile that capturing it would lead to no reputation loss. Try and sell it back to the canterans if you don't need it

Can't capture, only has the autopilot option when double-clicking. Blew it up with no rep loss and luckily the wreck disappeared after a few minutes. I've had some stick around for days, lol.

I will try it for my Scaldis stuck in gemstone manufacture. Did not knew wreckage disappears after few minutes.

Stuff like that usually disappears when the zone unloads from real time.

I also had this problem in 2.5 beta 6 with my CV getting stuck in the cell recharge fac; it cleared up when I loaded 2.5 beta 7.
No idea why though. :lol:

That's funny, because I've had a Taranis wreck stick around for hours even after going from DeVries to Albion and back several times.

Also, I didn't take a faction hit for destroying it, or it was so small my RoC rep didn't drop from 22.

Heh.. If they made wrecks have as little graphical impact as possible it would be kind of cool to have them be permanent. Massive ship graveyards from major battles? Yes! Would need some way of reducing the navigational hazard, though...

Ive got the same problem with Arawn from PMC stucked in shipyard Shady Vault, is it bug related issue or shipyard just waiting for more resources? Ship looks complete, 100% hull and shield. Ive tried to blew up, but i lost standing.

In my experience, the shipyard is probably short of HIT/MA turrets.

I had this issue once long ago, could fix it by removing all connections to the cradle in the save file. The wreck was gone then, and production could restart - i waited quite some time before, maybe it would vanish at some point but then gave up and went for the save edit...

I cant sell HIT/MA Turrets to any shipyard. I found some potential places on station to sell them directly, but i cant see any icon. Also nothing on trade menu. Iam using mod TAF and ive got all the stations in Albion covered. Do i need better rep to sell these? Thanks

No, you don't need better rep - ES needs to fix several issues around the economy. Like calculations regarding trade offers - stock and prices, ensure proper resource sinks, and fix production cycles that are filling up storage senselessly.

It was Beta 2.5b6, construction was 100% complete and the ship was visible as a ship, not a "construction site," but it had no captain and never moved, and the shipyard never became available until I blew it up and the wreck dissipated.
