2 weeks for a Beta ???? WTF

The game has been out 2 weeks and been patched into a worse state than its launch, now a week after the infamous 1.17 patch you have the option of the Beta 1.18 or whatever its called .

Anyone else here starting to wonder when you might actually be able to play the game from start to finish, its a bit of a double edged sword, I am glad they learned from the last patch, but at the same time this beta comes with a warning, saying the save might not work after use .

I have already restarted 7 times, so I could use the beta, clock up more wasted hours and be back at zero again, this is getting beyond a joke .

I want to know when I can play the game as normal, can someone please tell me, come back in six months is not accurate enough for me I'm afraid .

i sacked the campaign as its horrible and worthless, started free play wayyyy wayyy better, better weapons etc, less buggy although trading etc and everything else thats broke in campaign is still the same...broke, just dont have to do the crappy missions, all being said i tottally agree, 2 weeks after release and we are still beta testing, next will be alpha, then early release soon after, next year full release should be working lol.

On an side note we were told that the 1.18 patch was looking good for release at the weekend, but after seeing the beta and trying it out myself i just cant see what they guys/gals at egosoft see that 90% of this community who play the game done see to think its ready or remotely nearly ready for release at all, boggles my mind.

How is this spam ??? does anything that does not say " best game of 2013 " get counted as spam in your world ???

I am asking people how they feel about waiting 2 weeks and then getting a bet patch as an option, thats a valid question mate .

As they got slated for sending out an untested patch before, they have done the sensible thing or putting the patch out for people to test, before releasing it as a finished patch.

If you try the beta, and it works for you, then you are surely in a better position than you are now. If it breaks for you, then that would be valuable feedback for the devs before they release it into the wild, probably after the weekend assuming all goes well.

Of course, if you're having more fun posting here than playing, then you can do that instead

Not in those specific words, there is 2,300 people in the world playing it, all critic reviews panned it , tons of users hate it, 2 weeks later and laods of people cant play it or wont, yet there seems to be a small number of people hyping the game up as if its awesome, if its so good then why is nobody playing it ?

@ Paulie Man you need to chill, we all agree with what you are saying, a lot of us aren't happy. But continuing posting rants on the forums aren't going to fix things. I would rather they take another couple of weeks fixing things than keep throwing out patches every couple of days that breaks more than they fix. Give it time and things will get sorted eventually.
