Glad to know I'm not the only one having this issue. Not sure if newly bought shields replace older ones since I haven't been able to buy new ones yet.Nukah wrote:Didnt for me. Sliders was locked, selling shields didnt help. I didnt pick up any random ware, i think its the most stupidest thing ever to be able to pickup loot everywhere in stations and ships. (and they are a pain to sell, too)BlackRain wrote:Actually buying a shield will replace a shield, but you should sell your shield first since then you can pick which shield gets replaced. You might be moving the slider the wrong way. It definitely works. Let me go check in game.
I just went to a mechanic and was able to both SELL my shields and buy them back so it is working.beach07 wrote:Glad to know I'm not the only one having this issue. I don't think that's the issue either. I have 95,000 cr and the shields are both less than 70,000 cr. No hidden "k" in there to suggest they cost more, AND considering this is part of the campaign, they should be affordable. There's an objective marker on the NPC AND the co-pilot told me to buy shields from her.BlackRain wrote:Do you have enough money to afford them? They are quite expensive. The numbers may seem confusing because it might say something like 30,000k (which actually is like 3 million or something haha)

There are more types of missions. There are escort missions, patrol missions and others. You have to go near stations and look for special mission icons. One is a skull and crossbones, one is a briefcase, etc. There are a few different types of missions. All of them are near stations, you have to explore.

Okay, I am almost to that part of the campaign, I will do it and let you know what happens, give me a little bit okay?
This is what you do: You go right up to the mission icon and select it with your mouse. Double click the icon and then click on the words that pop up. There you will see three options. Tell me more, accept mission or dont accept mission.zone22 wrote:can you give step-by-step instructions for this. I've tried accepting my first mission I can view the reward and the details, but nowhere is there to accept anything.
The only time you actually need to leave the ship is to recruit employees and you can minimize time on stations by flying to a dock, selecting the docking icon and looking at the list of employees there. It only lists 4 unfortunately but you can quickly see if someone you need is part of that 4 and choose to move on or not.Haysand wrote:Can one play without actually leaving the ship? When I must leave the ship and deal with NPC?
Hope there will be a mod that allows avoiding all FPS experience :/
edit-- sorry that isn't entirely true, need to exit to buy missiles, drones and such but that isn't often.
I assume it is all equipment, not just the ones you listed?BlackRain wrote: The only time you actually need to leave the ship is to recruit employees and you can minimize time on stations by flying to a dock, selecting the docking icon and looking at the list of employees there. I got to the part where Yisha tells you to buy 100 Units of Energy Cells and such forth to get the plasma weapons. I went to the station and bought them, but the freight ship isn't doing anything. It's just sitting at the station. I've tried several times, loaded a game, tried it, nothing. Please help? =(
A bar will move left and right, you have to click the mouse when the bar is on the pink and when the pink is as high as possible to get successful talk.LaserEye wrote:Can you tell me how your suppose to use the Smalltalk option?
I mean i can select 'Engage: Smalltalk' and then the Minigame starts and Im like ok what button do i press now? can i click on it... why won't ... *insert stumble line when smalltalk failed*
The upgrades, missiles and drones you must land to buy but this is not frequent. Missions are done completely in ship (except in the campaign you have to land sometimes)Haysand wrote:I assume it is all equipment, not just the ones you listed?BlackRain wrote: The only time you actually need to leave the ship is to recruit employees and you can minimize time on stations by flying to a dock, selecting the docking icon and looking at the list of employees there. The ship might be stuck in the trade action. Try leaving the area through a highway and go to another area. Open up the map and look at your ship in the map and see if it starts to move.OverclockedKitty wrote:I got to the part where Yisha tells you to buy 100 Units of Energy Cells and such forth to get the plasma weapons. I went from Hideout to Gemstone and it's still sitting there like a derp, and it's still telling me to buy the cells from the station.BlackRain wrote:The ship might be stuck in the trade action.
