X3 Reunion - moving to linux

Hello,
I have a windows box version of X3R. Is it possible to get a linux version, or do i have to buy it again ?

Your boxed version is Windows only. If you buy the game on Steam then you get access to the versions for all available platforms.

Too bad ! I don't feel like buying this game a second time, even though it's cheaper now on steam.
Really hope there will be a way to activate it someday. I'd like to switch to linux as much as possible.
