Not Steam, but Ubisoft Giving Away Two PC Games For Free This Month

Quote:
Looking for a gift this holiday? Ubisoft is giving away two PC games--and they're pretty good ones. Now through December 11, you can get the RTS World in Conflict (and its Soviet Assault expansion) for the low, low price of $0.00.

Then starting on December 12, you can pick up Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for nothing. This freebie offer ends on December 28. The well-regarded, Caribbean-set Black Flag was released in 2013 and puts you into the stealthy boots of Edward Kenway.

I didn't play either of those and probably won't, but I thought others might be interested.

You should give Assassin's Creed IV a go--it's the only AC since the original that really tried to do something different.

THX! Got WIC but definitely getting Black Flag, gave up on Ass Creed after 2, plot was daft and stupidly over complex, plus it was the beginning of unlocking towers/high points in every game but by all accounts this was a good stand alone as well.

AssCreed 2 was a good stand alone (with it's two sub-sequels) on it's own it was a bit 'meh'
AssCreed 4 Black Flag probably should have done away with all the animus stuff and just been a Pirates of the Caribbean 'AAAAAAAAAR ME HARTY' fest. I stopped playing after Black Flag because I couldn't see how they could have improved from there (for me personally).

In honor of Finland's 100'th anniversary of freedom, Steam is having a big sale on all Finnish games! There are some pretty decent discounts and a wide selection of "known" titles in that.

http://store.steampowered.com/sale/finland_sale/

(+1 For Steam publicizing that a bit, but then again, they're whores... soooo, any excuse for a sale is a good excuse! (Being a "whore" isn't a bad thing in this context.))
