Today Egosoft proudly presents a new trailer for our forthcoming X3: Albion Prelude update 2.5, which will lay the focus on a new plot. The trailer sheds some light on the reasons behind the partial destruction of the Earth Torus and on the destiny of Saya Kho.
Betrayed by their brothers and sisters, the Argons, the Terran federation has been waiting for the right moment to strike back. Now, the time has come. In “Operation Loose Ends” the player is dispatched deep behind enemy lines to weaken the Commonwealth war efforts. Gaining new technologies he will play an even more important role in the war.
No manual download of the update will be necessary; X3: Albion Prelude will be auto-updated by Steam as soon as it is available.

Nice. Very nice.
Although i would have preferred some info about rebirth, this will probably satisfy my needs as an xtremist for quite a while. 
Are the plot characters voiced or do we get to read?

They have time to create a trailer about a new patch to a game that is already out, but don't have enough time to put together a trailer for rebirth which they should be promoting!??

i was much rather hoping for a Trailer on X rebirth....
i appreciate the new update for your current games, but how much longer till we actually get a proper trailer and Release date on X rebirth??

I appreciate the new upadate and now maybe can play the war from the terran side of the equation. And I agree with most here, a new update for AP it could means that ES is closer to bridge the gap as far as stories is concern with AP and Rebirth or an indication that the game will not be ready this year as announced.....

yeah but its just getting rediculas on how they Predicted release on Q4 of 2011 and now it might not even be out this year either. how did it come to that?

rrfarmer, I don't see it as complaining....well meaybe a little. I see it more as constructive dialoge. I agree the trailer is nice and as a terran going deep behind enemy lines it will be a nice twist. And you might be right about the history portion....

AT LAST a storyline for the terrans. i hated the fact that in order to fully enjoy the game you had to play as a non terran.
