havent started the DiD quite yet... got another part of the Carrack test flight then might do another short one based on my current game....

then it'll be starting fresh with a DiD... my play style is a bit different tho... its slow to begin with than picks up once i have a M6 and marines

now just to finish the 2nd part if what i started yesterday...

Chapter 22: Setting out on Dark enterprises

Today I flew through pirate alley, seeding it with sattelites,

As i was flying through i saw a Split Heavy Dragon with a roughly 6 ship escort.

I wanted it, but before i could even think of capture i ran through in my head what i'd need.

1st.
ION-D's to strip it of shields.

And for that I'd need most lilely a Boron ship
Hmm.. The hydra seems to be the right ship for such an enterprise.

By no means is this going to be a lasting peace with the boron, i intend to get revenge for that TS they destroyed..

10000000x more value than my TS, mebbe a ray?

Anyway as i'm flying through hatikvah's faith, i see a paranid ares floating south, with a semi large escort.

I was Dying to take this ship, only to have both Nomm AND har phycially drag me into the cargo hold and give me 1000 reasons why i shouldnt.

The main one being, my marines just arnt trained enough..

*sigh*

Fine then, ill leave this one be.

Well as i scroll through the list of ships capable of firing the Ion Disruptor, one stands out from the list.

The argon Centaur.

A good all round ship, it is manueverable enough*i think* to keep close enough to fry off any weapons,

Also as i was shooting.,...

no wait.

As Pirates were attempting to shoot ME, in their assorted fighters, my Flak turrets managed to bail a Pirate Nova Raider.

A Favourite of many pilots or so i have heard.

So instead of scrapping it immediatly, i fork out the 1.6 million credits required to fix it.
Then i dock it at my standing warehouse pelican, where it wait await either sale or use.

As i was crossing Nopelios memorial i spy a galleon floating about..

Hmm to avoid or to destroy?

It only has 4 gigs of shields and 11 fighters?
Ok hell yeah im takin this badboy ON.

And my tactics are relatively crude.
Charge fullpelt. stop just infront and strafe to the side, then RAM

I took it out, down to 30% shields.

destroyed all the fighters but 1*which bailed*
i was on 36% shields at the end of the fight..
And the bailed ship?

Was a BLASTCLAW

I have however. noticed a new problem with my PSG's

it roasted the IBL the Galleon dropped!

It was a bit more complicated then i made it sound

you see i didnt have docking permission with the boron yet.
And great trench has NO boron military ships anywhere, none even owned by the EQD or the MO
and with the Other Centaur i had run outta jumpdrives so i had Jumpbus Jump over to IZ and Buy 4 kestrels to hold the jumpdrives.

So after much time spamming buttons to get everything sorted, i have 2 new ships

2x Heavy Centaur.

Well, now that i have theese ships, i need to get rid of the police tails they have.

For Great trench, there was roughly
3-4 m6 Dragons.
15 fighters

So i decided to be sneaky
i took 2 missions.
1 hard station defence.
1 very hard patrol mission.

Heh. heh.

killing off the protect station ships, i go to look for what the patrol mission spawned in.



I see weapons fire in the distance...

A YAKI AKUMA!?!?!

What have i unleashed!?

All thoughts of those Centaurs have fallen to the wayside, i need to
A)
get rid of those police ships.
and
B)
Survive that akuma while protecting a boron thresher thats been destroying the Police for me
But destroying the akuma will mean i lose Yaki rep.

*sigh*

I charge in, The akuma hasnt even fired in my direction, i get at knife range and let loose with a full bank of PSG
The Akuma's Shields buckle, the last 30% gone in a blue halo of death, Then still at full pelt i Slam the Crescent into the Akuma Amidships, Breaking the ship in two.
Suddenly a white explosion marks the full destruction of The destroyer.

Everything is Silent...

Chapter 23: And just a lil nightshade into the mix.

Well while i was waiting for that police blockade either get bored or die off of old age, i start checking my messages for any updates, checking on my ships in their various sectors and tasks, when i get a very odd message,
HEAVYILY encrypted, The machine took a whole hour just to spit out what it all meant.

Well jumping in i see what betty means, Damn we got no room to manuever here, i move to the coordinates, with the wingtips scraping the asteroids. and then i suddenly have a odd thought..

Well turns out all my questions were to be answered quickly.

As i see a small rapier being hunted down by a blastclaw and roughly 3 kestrels.

I was about to ignore it and keep waiting when i notice the stats on that rapier.

Huh. it has the same ID as that message.
Ok. colour me curious.

I promptly launch off 15 wasps, most at the blastclaw.

Being peppered with mini missiles they turn to see who has the audacity to bug them during their chase..

Only to take a flak suckerpunch to the face.

Opening the docking bay i open a com to the rapier, telling them to dock, and not to deviate from the flight path or they WILL be shot down the same flak that just saved their life.
I dont even get an answer back.

*Sigh*

Ok well, with both Nomm and har behind me, i enter the docking bay, and to be honest i was expecting a hail of gunfire.

Instead i see a rather petite terran woman in a combat suit standing next to her ship.

Hell everything about her screamed MILITARY, from the stance to the look she was giving me, yeah, definitly military.

Walking up to her i see her sizing up me and my.. well. escort i guess

And i think she caught a whiff of Har's Musk, atleast something broke that cold look she was giving, for awhile she seemed as confused as us, Heh, so that musk doesnt even work on females. or maybe its working on us all.

"Welcome aboard the Crescent, Im the boss, And you are??"
"Kasamira Nightshade, Formerly captain, but that was a long time ago"
"Indeed, and what is it you want from us?"
"Heard you were hiring pilots." was the flat no frills answer i got.
"I am, yes, what can you fly?" I questioned, rather curious
"Anything from m3's to M2's" She answered rather quickly, like reading a list off her head.
"Thats a rather long list, What do you prefer?"
"Capitals ships"
"I guessed that, with the whole "Formerly captain" thing." I got a evil stare from her for that.
"I can leave if you have no use for my skills"
"No, I have use of a person such as you, here." I hand her a datapad with the list of useable ships, "Your pay will go by what ship you fly, destroyed enemies and jobs you are a part of. Get a bunk somewhere on the ship, Har could you please show her the Pilots quarters?"
"Split understand"
I offer my hand "To a Fortuitous arrangement"
She shakes it, neglecting a smile, "Yes sir"
"One more question however Nightshade.. What do you want to do with the rapier?"
"Dump it, destroy it, I dont care" was the nonplussed answer.
"Fair enough" She then leaves, following Har.
" well Boss, tha' was 'nterestin' " Nomm says to me.
"Indeed, well lets get back to work, jettison the rapier before you go."
"ay' Boss"

Chapter 24: Lots of losses

With Nightshade bunked in and sorting through what ship she wants, i

decide todays a 'Huntin Day.

First, i relocated the HC i had in Great trench, to Scale plate green,

and watched as all the lil red blips flew off east, towards xenon 347.

Heh. That outta remove any tail.


Well, it didnt.

a few assorted fighters made it through, so i slapped the centaur on

the rear and sent it back to Ianimus zura, then i jumped into 18 billion

and took a few missions, 1 xenon invasion, and a Average station

defence.

And While i was slaughtering hordes of m6's and fighters, the split

ships popped through as well, and also got obliterated*didnt even

notice till i heard my rep drop by a rank*

Well, after this i grew tired of flying around blowing stuff up.

I decided to park the deimos in My sector, Order Nomm and

har-o-wing to patrol the sector and keep it safe, while I, fly "Scream

and cry" on a scouting mission to the south.

As i pass through priests refuge i go looking for the south gate.

And as i was about to dive into the murk, i notice a teladi headed

southwards..

Always trust a teladi's instincts when it comes to profit!
As long as its his profit..

Well, i kept heading south, and finally i found what the rumours have

told me about.

Two unclaimed sectors, west of unholy descent.

The first had a bunch of roids in visual range, i need to get a scouting

fleet to sort this all out.
It also had a pericles i Claimed and left there, as a mobile sattelite.
And the second sector was huge. 200km's from gate to nowhere*but

there was asteroids in the distance*

yes, this. Will be home.

Well it will be when i add the homely touchs.

Ya know. laser tower circumference round the gate, Roving death

patrols with preferably tenjins with probably a TL to dock at as a base

of operations, with atleast 1 or 2 mega complexes churning out

weapons of mass destruction and a minefield for any interlopers.

Ya know. Homing touchs.

Unfortunatly all my worldy funds are currently below 5million. soooo

need to go make cash soon.

However One of the Heavy Centaurs, Which ive taken to calling

"Shock horror" is currently fitted out with 10 ion disruptors.

need to find a target.

I also managed to squeeze in 2 IPG's onto that Centaur, for battering

down the shield before letting loose with the bugzappers.

Also, i dunno if i mentioned this earlier, but ive been using a spare

pelican as a dropoff point for poltergiests missiles and M/AM ammo.
It also has the nova docked to it currently, as defence*even tho it has

no weapons?*

I also has my Jumpbus running 4 kestrels around in that unknown sector, looking for more roids and watnot

Im intending to have a base there, But first, money, first i take a job for an assisnation, got meself 1.7mill, and some extra rep with the squids.

A few more assasinations and i find myself in black hole sun

Foolishly, i took a patrol mission against xenon.

First thing to jump in?
you guessed it. A K.

*sigh*

i should of seen that coming.

However, i think i may of just had a stroke of luck

See i still have that m8, and it has 12 tomahawks. Jump in and fingers crossed!

Nope, out of all 12 hawks, only 1 made it through, an took out 5% of the shields.

Bugger!

Deciding that theres really nothing else i can do, i charge in, Full throttle

As i close to 4km i start firing off the PSG's i accidently roast 2 argon novas but eh. casulties of war, i then ram into the rear end of the K, knocking me down to 40% shields and it down to 50% hull. i then while still firing all my psgs give it one more love tap to the rear and the K goes up in a firey explosion..

and a 400k bonus.. not bad.. not bad..


After awhile i get a buzz from my sattelite in Split fire.

Apparantly theres a Nemesis there?

Ooooh goodie.

I jump in, and its sitting perfectly still?

huh??

after a few mins i decide to shoot at it, still no movement

I drop the shields and am about to call the troops in, when it jumps out?

What the...

Anyway, then i see a hydra pop in. Ah stuff it why not

I pull up with "shock horror" and start zapping it to death

at 92% hull it has only a pac and an empty EBC left.

I then drop off the marines, they close, and make contact.. well 4 of them do..

The other 6 are chasing after the ship

I call in the dropship to pick them up, when i hear a horrible zapping sound, and watch 6 freshly crisped corpses float off into space.

Bugger..

After much shooting and shouting, My marines finally transfer control over the bullet riddled wreck to me.
with 60% hull and only 2 marines left. 1 of which is 3 stars in everything, the other 1 star fighter.

Odd.

Well at the cost of 8 marines, i got myself a HYDRA!
