Well all I have to say is...Thank god you can see the damn mines now so you can avoid them. Instead of the typical "wtf just happened?". THAT looks intimidating... instead of the pin sized squash mines that fried you instantaneously in anything equipped with less then 200mj.

Another week, another screen, here we go.
In X Rebirth stations will consists of different modules, which you can upgrade with different elements. For example with shield generators or weapon systems. Even modules to increase the communication range were already mentioned. Another module type can be seen here: A Pump Station to increase the efficiency when processing and transporting liquids, such as water or fuel. That means there are not only station modules for attacking and defending, but also to increase the productivity of stations. Another game element for those that like the "THINK"-part of the game.
What kind of other station modules you can think of?

It looks like this module is a part of facility which contains hydrogen. Pump station can be used for compressing hydrogen in oder to increase capacity of fabrication facility, for example.

Not every screenshot has to eye candy. This focuses more on giving insight into gameplay. Which, if I'll remind you, we've heard nothing new about over the past six months.
Think about it: we knew from the start we'd mining asteroids for mineral and ore (solids) in Rebirth, then we were shown the Hydrogen Collector (gas) last month, now we have station addons that deal specifically with liquid resources. Dividing raw materials into their states of matter (as well as having more than two of them) gives station management a whole new layer of complexity to station management and the economy as a whole.
I'm definitely glad to see that Egosoft is fleshing out the surface element system for stations as much as they are for ships. I'd hate to see them neglect the building and trading elements of the game.

So so far we have these modules for stations:
Communications Module
Ore refining Module
Missle (different types?) Module
Turret (different types?) Module
Shield (different strengths?) Module
Pump Station Module
(not sure if I've missed any)
Possible Modules:
Solar Panel Module
Storage Module (different types?)
Repair Module (if the construction ships/drones couldn't be used)
I'm eager to hear of other proposed module ideas or maybe a list from Egosoft (yeah like that would happen!). I think I'm going crazy thinking about this game just waiting on it.
This description makes me think that NPCs will hire you to build these modules on their stations instead of the old way of "buying" a station and placing it at a beacon.
