Anyone know if I can get an IBL factory in vanilla?

Maybe if you are lucky and capture a TL trying to deploy the factory.

Otherwise you have only 2 options in vanilla to get ibls, feed the NPC stations or capture capitol ships.
...All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die....

You will have plenty of them when you start capturing ships.

Before that point (start training your marines very early!) you need to befriend pirates or yaki, and supply their forge, if you can find and hack one, or a few.

Actually 4!

I just remembered when i was looking for IBL's a little while ago, after bashing some pirates i found an IBL forge that wouldn't let me dock, i blew it up and picked up 2 IBL's from the wreckage.

So No. 4:- destroying IBL factories :) .

but when the factory respawns i can do it again, to get more :) .

are you positive on that? with my TC game, GoD killed all but one PBG facs... and they never respaned. so did those EEMPC facs.

in AP i first went off buying some guns, just to be sure ;)

I've seen the one in Loomanckstrats Legacy be destroyed and respawn.
The Yaki factories usually respawn.

God normally only takes things away if they're not being bought, even if i can't often access IBL factories (because i've been busy killing pirates :) ), i'm pretty sure NPC's buy them.

If there's a demand for them, the factories should respawn.

for sure, there is demand for IBLs in AP... i've been supplying these stations for a while to get some guns. when i had what i needed, i supplied what i had on my freigthers and went... little bit later i tried to buy what was left, but there was no stock but again, empty resources. maybe thats why they repawn in your game. but that might not be a general thing.
