|

Hi, I'm having trouble swapping things from one ship to another. It makes no difference if two ships are docked together or in space, when I try to exchange freight the only things which show up as swappable are ship extensions, not goods. So, if I want to transfer a laser from my Hydra to a Nova, the only thing listed under Goods is Energy Cells, not the laser or any of the other goods on board. The only things that are listed which can be exchanged are things which the Nova currently has on board, not the Hydra - so for instance I can transfer 25MJ shields between ships because both ships have at least one of those on board. If I then put all of them in the Hydra and try to exchange again, they are not in the list, because the Nova no longer has any on board.
I tried swapping between an M3 and an M5 and everything was fine, it seems to only happen when there is a bigger ship involved, like an M6 or a TS.
The only way I can get around this is to eject things into space and then have the other ship pick them up, which isn't really practical.
Is this a bug or could it be a problem with mods? Any help appreciated, cheers.
Here is a list of the mods I am currently using:

It is a problem you can see with one or more 3rd Party mods/scripts and/or with their interactions. You can try disabling mods one at a time and see if the issue goes away at some point, but the problem is that the clashing scripts etc may now be embedded in your gamesaves, or that your saves will not work without all those mods and scripts. That is always a problem with installing too many mods at once and not extensively playtesting after each one.

Hi, Alan, thanks for the reply. Is there any specific clash you can see from the list I posted? I'm looking through them now and the only things I can see which might cause problems (not that I know anything about scripting) is the Salvage stuff, maybe Manual Trade Extension or Improved Ships.

You really need to be asking this in the S&M forum, directed at the authors of those scripts, not here. We can't help you here. Sorry.
