Question has probably been asked already but does anyone know if this is going to be another addon style game like Prelude/TC etc or is it going to be a full new game ie (x4)?
Not talking about the story, just the game content, models etc.
I didn't notice a massive difference between reunion and prelude, so if its another new story same engine thing I think I'll give this a miss.

So you haven't read anything at all about X:Rebirth?

Completely new game, completely new story, completely new engine, completely new world.

It's a different game. Think darkstar one meets x3. You only fly one ship which is modular and you replace/upgrade parts. You can remote fly drones also. You still have factories and stuff but you control your other ships differently than x3. There's a superhighway like in freelancer instead of gates. The ships are different, combats different (you can target modules on the ships), no SETA, etc...

Question asked and answered so this can slide away now. Background reading of the Sticky threads at least is always recommended.
