Asteroids not where they are spose to be?

Post by ntweedie2010 » Fri, 14. Oct 11, 01:40

Hi!

Im thinking of putting my PHQ in the Unknown sector north of Argon M148 and was scanning asteroids, however some that are meant to be in this sector at certain co-ords arent :(

Do asteroids get moved?

I went by this site: http://eng.x3tc.ru/x3_tc_map/sector.php?c=NTgwNDI2OTQ3

The top 3 asteroids are not at those co-ords, however the Nvidium one is exactly in the right place!

Seems like a realli nice sector for PHQ - quiet, close to EQ docks/jumpdrives and is meant to have the Silicon and Ore asteroids to make a production cycle.

Please help :)

first, off.. wrong forum

second the top three astroids are used in a quest for the Operation Friendly Fire.. or what ever the anti-khaak mission is called. i wouldn't be surprised if they only appear when you are on that part of the mission so they CANT be used by the player accedently

Also that sector gets a lot of Khaak activity, so you may want to find another sector. The Unknown sector between Montalaar and New Income is a good sector.

If you want a high yield Ore Mine, try looking in Midnight Star. There is an Asteroid with a 100+ yield there. Silicon is a bit lacking, though. Only about 40 yield of the stuff.

Apart from the instance he mentioned, asteroids do not move.
