X3ap 3.1a Battlestar Galactica V.3.1a.1(11/09/2016)

A Battlestar Galactica mod by JCC , MilesRS and Max Vatutin


The X3ap ver3.1a Battlestar Galactica mod is a semi-total conversion mod. Although most elements within the xuniverse stay the same, this mod adds in a Battlestar Galactica start, along with all the ships, stations and weapons you would find in the BSG universe. A variety of other unique elements await your discovery.

On the BSG starts you may find a BSG plot along with the original AP plots.
The Albion Plot and the terran plot are both available on the BSG starts.

On Vanilla starts there's no BSG plot but you may find the BSG ships on some Argon Shipyards and the BSG stuff on some Argon stations and factiries.

On all starts the Cylons are present and the Cylon rayds are available.

Be warned, once you start firing at a Cylon ship , only stop when it's destroyed cause they have Hull regenerators and it will regenerate it self with time.

. To instal this mod is better to have a new and fresh install of the game and then just unrar it and drop it in to your game's folder alowing all replace file asked.
. Then start X3 AP and on the 1st window you get choose "Select Mod Package" (4th Boton from the top) then select "X3AP_BSG_Mod_Ver_3_1a_1" and hit "OK" (all this steps you'll have to do it only once)
. Finaly hit "Start x3AP" (this step you'll have to do every time you want to play it)

. For the people who have the 3.1.10 ver installed , this version is saved game compatible, all you have to do is to enter on a Viper MK VII or any other Vanilla ship and fly to an empty setor and save your game there.
Only after that you may aplye this version.

Well, MaxVatutin is currently away until mid-October and he's the primary scripter for the TI mod so it's on hold (mostly) until he returns. MilesRS on the other hand is still working on models/textures.

I'm not sure how far Max is on scripting the new mod before he left so assume that there's alot to do.

Hello everyone!

First of all thanks to JCC for his work on 3.1! Thats really great to know that he still supports the mod.

As for Terra Incognita... As York Ross said, the mod is currently on hold, "frozen" i'd say. Thats mostly because of me as i'm away from home for almost a year already and going to be back in the late October (this year ofc). I can only assure that we still have plans for Terra Incognita and a lot of work was contributed to the mod already, so the project is still alive at some point. Hopefully we'll be able to show all of you something until the New Year (or maybe even in the late November).

Can some body help me troubleshoot why I cant get the Albion plot to begin with this mod? I have met all the criteria. I started the game using adama.

I believe it was made so that you must do the Terran Plot first and then the Argon Plot before you do the Albion Plot.

Although, its been a couple months since i've last played the mod so im not too sure.

York you're completely right.

You must do first the terran plot and only after that you are able to trigger the albion plot when you meet the nessassary requests.

hello guys im just wondering, is there a bug with the new update? once i get a high enough fighting rank, scar jumps in and starts attacking me. this cool however i have jumped to over 50 sectors and he still pops up as soon as i jump into another sector. I've tried going through gates then jumping clear across the universe. i have also tried point to point jump along with jumping and moving to a position. the problem is where ever i jump scar is there. what is worg?

You have to kill all escorts of scar and only after that you shot him and when his shield drops to 0 he will jump away and vanish, untill next time...

or

Jump to a gate in other sector and then imidiately fly through that gate, Scar will loose you. Untill next time...

Hi if you do another update do you think it would be posible to improve the light in New Caprica (player owned sector) as its so dark you can hardly see the top side of your ships maybe similar to the light in Excaliber so the featchers on each Battlestar stand out better Freedoms reach has good light effects so maybe something like that.

Also would it be posible to make the Colonial's more active for example they might keep Scorpion and there ships there and posibly they might have a TL building some stations of there own as well as transports and fighters doing things and if you have the improved races instaled like i do they might live up to there colonial name by trying to colonise some sectors eg the Xenon sectors to there West. And alos make the Cylons more active in Excaliber after the fleet jumps out.

Hi X3AP-BSG team!

I came back to play your awesome mod and to have fun playing BSG again in X3AP. Great job guys!

Models are somewhat detailed right now unlike before which were too plain and simple 3D objects and textures.

BTW, are there any other Galactica ships available for sell on other races/species?



But I notice something is wrong on the texture on the front of the Galactica shown below. Could you please fix it immediately. Thank you :)

I figured that when the sun hits the starboard side of the Galactica the textures are visible unlike the image above where the sun hits the port side of the Galactica. Please fix it. Thank you.

Found another disturbing bug effect shown below which the glowing effects are too far away from the exhaust engine.

Please fix it or totally remove the sphere/circle glow effect when engine is running.

X3 Editor 2 (Extract, Import and Export)
3DS Max 2015 (3D tool)

Regarding BSG ship for sell, in the BSG start no one sell them you must get them or buy them at Scorpion Shipyard.
On other starts you can buy most of them in some Argon Shipyards (Not All)
But at Yaky space you may find some colonial Cruisers that they have stolen the blue prints from the Gemini Super freighter data base.

Instalation help

Hi i don't know what i did wrong but when i droped my BSG folder into my game directory it did nothing do just drop all of it as it is in the BSG folder into X3 AP game directory or do i have to drop each individual folder eg Addon, Mod, scrips, T, into there X3 counterparts?

I have reinstalled the X3 AP game i belive it is clean install i just need a bit more information on what to do im using winrar to open the file and then extract it to my X3 AP Steam folder is that right?
