Hey guys, big fan of the franchise. It's all in the title really, will force feedback be supported in X rebirth?

Also if anyone has used a force feedback joystiq in any of the previous games your opinion would really be appreciated.

I played x3 with a pretty decent normal joystiq and it was standard. Wouldn't mind trying something new, though...

Cheers.

No idea about Rebirth, but the only thing that caused force feedback to happen in earlier games was an actual collision with another object, so it wasn't really all that beneficial.

Hmm, sure thing - thanks for the heads up. I'll re-asses my options and probably buy after release Smile

Will plain joysticks be implemented by version 1.0? I think I read /or looked at a video somewhere, they had yet to be put in . Confused

Why are you asking me? I know as much about it as you do. CBJ, who *does* work for Egosoft and therefore has a better idea, said in another topic that he'd seen the joystick control being worked on, so I assume the idea is to have it in place for release.

Yes, there will be joystick support in release version, with "advanced" features may be added after the release. See AMA for reference.

I don't remember any science show telling that there is some kind of air in the depth of space, influencing the rudders or flaps' hydraulic systems on space ships.

in fact, i even don't remember they said space ships are using wings and tail to remain in space Laughing

the gravity has no effect on stick.

What you need, is a full hydraulic cockpit. Razz

Sorry. Didn't know you did not work for Egosoft, especially since you are in the top 4 people that post on this forum number wise.

Won't happen again.

Space sims are joystick games, screw mouse and gamepad.

I expect perfect joysticks support for my HOTAS on day one.

Yeah to be fair it does say "Egosoft" right under your name, no need to snap at people...
