Cannot seem to buy a factory

X3:R no mods. V2.5 All factories are red to me. I have about 85M Credits and have very good rep with most races.

Argon Fed Guardian
Boron Queen's Knight
Split Distinguished Associate
Parinid Priest Protectorate
Taladi Company Manager

Just no joy in being able to buy factories. Recommendations please

Have you got a TL docked at the shipyard you are trying to purchase from?

No. So I have to hire a TL first and have him dock at the Shipyard first?

Yep. The station doesn't know if you have the capability to take that sucker away and it sure as hell doesn't want any of those things clogging up the production floor so it needs proof.

Tho if you've already got 85m, you may as well buy your own TL to move factories. The hired TLs are usually really slow. Get yourself an Orca and max its speed and steering, drop in a jumpdrive and some ecells. Now oyu can really start shifting stations around.
