Sitting and waiting is common when the pilot is not well trained. Or when enemies are nearby.

Or when the buy price is set to a lower price than the ware ever reaches.

Advanced Satellites are a high demand ware, IIRC they're considered one of the better wares for the Player to manufacture if they want to rely on NPC purchases rather than their own sales fleet.

Personally I use so many of them early on that I just buy at max (my preferred deployment is 8/sector, yes, this gets expensive).
