X3TC: How does the aiming device work when different bullet-speed weapons installed?

Post by aoeo2jam »

Sometimes, two different bullet-speed weapons are installed, such as HEPT + PRG. They coexist in the main weapon array. However, the aiming device just points at one direction, can those two weapon both well shot the target (if the target's speed is a constant)?

The ship computer will calculate the proper trajectories for both weapon types.

However it will base the position of the lead indicator off of the weapon with the slowest-moving projectile (in your case the HEPT).
Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

Depends how you fire the weapons. Using mouse fire both sets of guns will fire at the cursor. With auto-aim active, Boresight fire (using joystick fire button or left CTRL by default) will automatically correct the different projectiles' trajectory, as KloHunt3r said.
