Hey all
Well I haven't posted in an awhile, and with my recent install on TC, I came up with some questions....
1) Timed autosaving. I spend a lot of time just hanging out in a unknown sector, UFJD makes that easier. so I was wondering if there is a way to make autosaving timed, or at save every few hours.
2) Auto SETA. Sometimes, when SETA-ing in an unknown sector a spacefly hits me and turns my seta off. I know poor me.... so any ways so that it turns back on or that it doesn't turn off that easily...
3) I have this guide:

It's for X3r, so I was wondering how close it is to TC? would it work with TC? for where to put stations?
4) Is there a guide for where to place stations? or best places to be?

did u post in the correct forum ?
your questions sounds more like general TC questions rather than scripting and moding ones
but for the first 2, theres no way to make a script to do either of those

I started on the first two which to me is a mod question. I thought about the last two as I was typing. I feel bad if I added another topic posts, fills up sever space...
You could move it if you want.
As for the first two well they could just go with apricotslice's the answer is NO! topic...

So as this is now in the x-universe forum...
Your questions really worth this forum is the debate on which sector to put which station.
I choose,based on what is in the sector at the time .
eg.. If a sector has many SPPs then a production factory may prove useful to you.
If there are no SPPs,then maybe you should build one.
This is because stations come and go,and no two pilot's universes are the same,except for key stations and roid deployments etc.
Also various pilots deploy different strategies in their games.Thus what might suit me,might not suit you.

I'd look within one jump range for resource providers and product consumers. So neighbours too and not just a single sector.

I put an SPPXL and a Wheat Farm L in Argon Prime because there weren't any within several sectors. They now make money hand-over-fist.

Actually I did that for Talidanium complex in Paranid space.I think it was Pontifex' Realm. I had several places in nearby sectors that wanted the stuff.
My station traders were rarely without work.
But I must admit,it was the only time I have examined near sectors in this way before building.

What I did for X3r is that I followed the guide of where to plant station, once I did that and I got enough credit, I went from one system to other 'converting' all stations to mine. By replacing then destroying the others.
At the end of it... I ended up cheating for most stations, alots of credits. The PHQ mission was cheated for.
so for TC I'm trying not to cheat, I just don't know how close to that guide TC would be.
oh as I was laying in bed last night, I came up with another question...
does the AI really make new stations? and if you do a building station mission at the end of it, is that station still yours or do they take over it?

In my game the Argon Prime local sectors were full of SPP packed to the brim and selling for 12 credits yet many of the stations were screaming for E-Cells. I put 10 LTs with 3 jump range from AP to keep everything turned over and that seems to have done the trick and made me a wheen of cash to boot.
