In XBTF and X2 I kept getting hit from behind by a giant "The End" sign. Very frustrating!

It's worse when you actually claim it, avoid the mines, go the "long way" around south to get back north, and end up hitting another mine on the eastern half of the map.

Or running into an asteroid because the autopilot wouldn't fly you around it.

I've flown into a couple asteroids in other places - like in one of the Rolks' sectors where the "traffic autoclear superspeed gate eject" thingy threw me into one.

Trying to reverse my Akuma through a gate. It seems either it's not possible to reverse a capital through a gate, or something decidedly huge jumped through on top of me. Either way I died pretty much instantly.

Mine was I guess running out of oxygen while repairng a ship on SETA.
Crashing into EQ dock in Kestrel + turbo booster (1400 m/s) comes close second. Smile

I've never been able to SETA in an EVA suit, though I have ran out of oxygen from going AFK too long. Razz

Eject the SETA from your ship, eject yourself then run over the SETA in your spacesuit and voila you have SETA in your spacesuit.

O.O must try this, I am guessing I will either succeed in getting SETA in my spacesuit, or die upon impact with the crate. Smile

I was wondering if that was possible...

But where do I find my oxygen level indicator?

Mine happened after I passed through the gate to Thyn's Excavation in my Springblossom.

As soon as I got out of the gate I selected Strong Arms HQ and hit the Dock command. The Springblossom headed straight in the gate edge and was blown.

On a brand new bankrupt assassin start, I managed to part a pilot from his Eclipse within the first two minutes. I got out and started patching it up with the repair laser, and was getting it close to 100% (after starting with it at 58%). However, i forgot to keep and eye on the sector map, and as a result, a Boron in a measly Disco snuck up on me and popped my suit with his pea-shooter.

hitting the side of the gate is pretty common as i've done it a few times. auto-pilot has screwed me a couple of times too. now, whenever i get really close to anything in auto-pilot, i put my finger on 'a', and my other hand on the joystick ready to crank that thing the other direction.

i've also had one of my freight ships following me thru a gate and forgot to go full speed on the other end and BAM!! kicked in the rear end and instantly died.

one funny thing (but kind of cool too), i was traveling thru a system w/ my "wingman" protecting me. it was a little M4 w/ some minor stuff onboard. i flew too close to some kha'ak fighters and one of them shot (and hit me) w/ a missile and there goes my little wingman "protecting" me. at first, i thought it was cool that it did that then watched it die a pretty quick death. at the same time, it gave me enough time to get away so it all turned out in my favor.

weird things sure do happen in this game! I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!
